OPENING REPORT
C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2017 CONVENTION REPORT
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The purpose of the World Service Conference Convention Committee (WSCCC) is to promote enthusiasm and unity within the fellowship of Cocaine Anonymous and support World Services effort to carry the message to the addict that still suffers
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
The World Service Conference Convention Committee (WSCCC) would like to start by asking the Conference to help thank the CAWS 2017 Committee and the WSOB for hosting a very successful World Service Convention in Seattle!!!!! We greatly appreciate their efforts on behalf of C.A.
CAWS 2018 grab your passport, because we are traveling to the Atlantic North region to the beautiful city of Montreal. This convention will be translated in both English and French. What a great opportunity for all of us to experience this culture. Remember to do your diligence to cross the border. It is better to start this process early. You will not want to miss this convention. We will be seeing a great presentation from the committee in our closing report on Saturday.
Don’t put that passport away just yet, because the 2019 convention will be hosted by the European Region, that is right folks, we are crossing the pond and heading internationally to Sweden!! This will be the first CAWS Convention that will be held in non-English speaking country.

In 2020, we will be returning to the Unites States – Keeping it Weird with Austin, Texas ya’ll. The 2020 CAWS planning is well underway. The steering committee is in place. The hotel has been selected and the contract signed. Great work Austin.
We have three bids for the CAWS 2021: New York New York, Denver Colorado and Atlanta Georgia. All three areas will present their bids on Saturday. You will be hearing about the great possibilities from these three areas throughout the conference week.
During this past year the Convention Committee has been busy working on Operational Guidelines, which have been submitted under SR14 for approval. While on our monthly conference calls we worked to stay on top of any convention related issues. I would like to thank the members for their diligent work in this process. We also hosted “The Great Exchange” at CAWS this year and I’d like to thank everyone who participated. The minutes will be available on the Box for those that would like to see what we had accomplished at this meeting.

REFERRALS THAT WERE WORKED ON DURING THE YEAR:
Amazingly this year we had no post-conference referrals. We do look forward to addressing all referral to our committee during our breakout sessions.
CLOSING COMMENTS:
We would like to urge anyone that likes to have fun and PARTY to come join our committee at this Conference and be a part of this exciting process with us throughout the next year. I urge all of you to come and be a part of that great feeling!
Remember LETS PARTY!!!!!
Thank you

Jason L. – When we received our delegate mailing, there were revisions in the Guidelines. They were not red-lined. We did not know what the changes are.
Trevor S. – The document will not come to the floor in the present state.
