C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2026 HOSPITAL & INSTITUTIONS REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND COMMENTS:
Greetings from the World Service Hospitals & Institutions Committee! We are thankful for being on this amazing journey with you all. We are all in the business of saving lives & we applaud you all for your active roles collectively! There’s been many highlights throughout the year that we have had the pleasure of experiencing. To name a few, our World Service Office tasked us with the opportunity to update the bookmarks & the H&I can labels. Our Media subcommittee
worked diligently to come up with various ideas to accommodate the request of the WSO. Upon completion & satisfaction of the committee, we were able to submit formidable templates to the WSO for their review. The response from the WSO was positive & immediately put into circulation! Also, it has been an absolute pleasure to hear other areas’ enthusiasm for Lifeline, especially from the London Area; hearing their chair discuss how Lifeline has been formed in

such a short space of time was inspirational. We hope this will help other areas who are wanting to start Lifeline.

SUMMARY OF COMMITTEE MOTIONS:
Referral (Result of Internal Committee Work): The following is a result of our committee wishing to create modern card templates for use by H&I committees for contributions.
Motion 1: To approve the portrait 8”x5” H&I contribution card templates for optional use by the C.A. fellowship. (Attachment 1)

Referral (Board Submission-WSOB-Pre-Conference): The Media subcommittee would like to introduce a QR code linking directly to the C.A. meeting app and the address of the C.A. website.
Action Taken: This QR code will be added to the bookmarks.
PRESENTATIONS OF CURRENT ACTIVITIES OR TASKS (no motions)
Media Subcommittee: Held their first meeting on August 28th where they identified the four most pressing items needed to be addressed: creating a clear statement of purpose, drafting a budget, redesigning the H&I bookmarks, and updating the H&I can labels. The focus on the bookmark design was to model after the fellowships milestone chips. While the reverse will display the milestone text along with a message of home, as well as a QR code linking directly to the meeting finder app (which is where our QR code motion came from). The idea is for the possibility that the bookmarks will be available for downloadable format on the website. This will allow them to be printed and cut locally to be distributed freely. H&I can labels needed new look to make it more updated and refreshed. The media subcommittee is encouraging any and all members to join, they have a regular monthly meeting and would love anyone who has creativity and service mindedness to join.
Outreach Subcommittee: Throughout the year as outreach sub committee interim chair our committee has gotten the chance to respond to different facilities and or people who

have contacted world services asking for help in some way. We have had multiple emails from people trying to find out more information on how to start panels in their facilities or people just asking general questions about Cocaine Anonymous. We have replied to these emails to try and help in any way we can including, getting them in touch with people in their area, or getting them an H&I starter kit to start a panel. We also sent out an email to all the H&I chairs listed in quarterly reports (if none then we sent to the area chair) basically explaining what we did in the H&I committee and asking for feedback on what has been working or not working in their respective area. We have had correspondence with people in different areas that were very interested in what we do in H&I and some that have even joined our world committee calls. We plan to keep following up with the emails we have already received and are ready and able to help when other people reach out to Cocaine Anonymous.
Lifeline Subcommittee: Continues to raise awareness of Lifeline! The last
Newsgram article includes an insert written by a member of the Lifeline committee, which we hope will help others. As a committee, we have set up and facilitated monthly meetings, these are currently on the first Saturday of every month, at 10am PST.
Guidelines Committee: Does not meet on a regular basis but stays in touch as needed via Phone calls and text. The committee performed typical house cleaning. Aside from that they added some color and altered some fonts in order to dress up the presentation of the guidelines. Internal guidelines were kept up to date and the H&I orientation packet was updated.
Corrections Committee: Continues to direct people in the right direction on how to contact correctional facilities in their corresponding areas.
CLOSING COMMENTS:
It has been an absolute pleasure to serve our fellowship in this capacity the past few years. From a personal standpoint, I have grown in areas that I needed addressing & that’s a direct
correlation to chairing this committee. I would like to thank everyone on the WS H&I committee (both past and present members) for sacrificing their time, energy & enthusiasm for our fellowship! We are forever grateful for the opportunity to serve at this level.

First of all, thank everyone and give everybody a round of applause.
Booker B – Thank his committee and introduces his committee members. (see report above) Recap of what we did this year. We met once a month with a great turnout this year.
We were able to accommodate some things from World Service Office Board. Lifeline letter was implemented.
We did some great stuff this year and have some more things in the pipeline. There was a motion, but we would like to refer back to committee at this time. Duane M –
