INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
This year in 2021, the WSCPI and its sub-committees have been extremely busy and have achieved what we believe to be great results despite the challenges caused by living through a global pandemic. We believe that we have come up with some new innovative ideas and ways to engage with the fellowship, professional community, public at large and the still suffering addict. ___________________________________________________________________________

SUMMARY OF COMMITTEE BUSINESS:
The Committee participated in 25 Conference Calls since the last conference in 2019, which brought together Committee members from Europe, North America, and Asia. These calls were always well attended, and a considerable amount of work achieved.
The Colour the World Week global poster campaign launched in 2019 has gone from strength to strength. This year, the event was moved to the first week of August (1st to 8th) and has been an amazing success. This event fostered enthusiasm, created unity, and allowed Cocaine Anonymous’ profile to be raised with the public at large.
The WhatsApp groups have continued to be a crucial element in our Committees functioning these past two years, allowing our members to communicate freely and openly with no cost to themselves or the fellowship on a worldwide basis. Quite simply the work achieved over the past few years would not have been possible without the use of this platform, especially given face-to-face interactions have been severely curtailed due to world events.
The European Committee participated in monthly conference calls. Regions/Areas throughout North America also participated in what we are calling monthly organic calls. These calls have been vital for Public Information Committees across the globe to come together to share best practices on how they have continued to carry out Public Information work through various lockdowns and evolving local situations.
The 5th annual European PI Summit and 6th annual North American PI Summit were held virtually again this year and were extremely successful, drawing on the experience of putting on virtual Summits the year prior at the start of the pandemic. These summits facilitated a significant amount of work that is being put forth in the SR14 Pack.
This includes a completely new Public Information Handbook & WSCPI Guidelines. These were undertaken over a period of almost two years, beginning with the formation of an Adhoc Committee at the Conference breakout in 2019. This has been crafted with the help of many experienced members from within the PI Committee and from the fellowship as a whole. We are extremely proud to present a document that is modern and provides a new and innovative way for members to access many templates and guides to make Public Information work easy and accessible for members all over the world. This has been formatted to make it easy to view on mobile, tablet, and computer.
The PI Rocks Roadshow has continued to be presented to our members across the World. Since the last Conference, we have presented 13 in person roadshows in Europe and North America and 7 online. We were able to reach growing areas we had never reached with these Roadshows such as Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, joining a Pan Asia call and the OSA having a call whose members are based all across the world. We also held a bilingual event in English and French in person in Quebec. All these events garnered enthusiasm from members to complete PI work, such as in Hamilton whose committee formed following the event, and Mississauga who after the event planned a poster drive and a professional presentation to treatment facilities.
The Committee has also attended Social Media Workshops being presented by Area committees to garner an understanding of what is happening in Public Information committees at a grassroots level, which has influenced the work of the Committee.
The Committee has also worked very closely with the WSIT Committee to update the website template to enable new areas to quickly launch a website that is simple to use, fully populated with C.A. information, free of charge, and brand aligned. C.A. Poland was one such area to download and launch this website when they began earlier this year.
Sub-Committee Reports:
European Sub-Committee (Caroline H):
Firstly, I must say what a delight and a pleasure it has been to serve as your trusted servant for Public Information in Europe. I have worked to the very best of my ability to inform, enthuse and unify our fellows from across Europe (and other areas) in Public Information service, which I strongly believe is our primary purpose.
I’ve summarized some highlights from European area/districts over the past two years:
Autumn 2019:
The Sky News Project was completed and aired / printed across all sky and apple owned media. It was a phenomenal effort and presented a fantastic opportunity for informing the Public at Large that “We’re Here and Were Free”.
Not knowing what was about to happen next, we started to excitedly consider locations for our next EuroPI summit – there was a consensus that it needed to be somewhere outside the UK – a gracious invitation from Switzerland was excitedly accepted and our 4th Summit committee was formed.
I attended the South London District ‘On the Buses’ PI fundraiser – what an astonishing success – raising over £1500 for a London Area Transport Campaign.
PI Rocks Roadshows were arranged for Holland and Spain, as well as the Northwest District in CAUK.
The Summit Committee continued to work with our Swiss fellows – a theme of ‘The Power of PI’ was agreed.
Winter 2019
We welcomed a new PI chair for Hong Kong, and Portugal started seeing great successes with Google AdWords.
A “Design a Poster” competition was launched – to be considered at the Euro Summit in Switzerland. Holland is having great success with the new PI Group Liaison post formed at the last summit and agreed at conference. We included this in our PI Rocks Roadshow at the Dutch Convention.
PI Rocks Roadshows in Spain and Oldham were met with great enthusiasm.
Agenda items for our EuroPI Summit were requested and NewsGram articles were submitted.
A theme of Orange is the New Green was agreed for our second annual Colour The World Week.
Spring 2020
Well, we definitely didn’t see this coming did we? The whole world locked down! We cancelled our flights to Switzerland and quickly mobilized onto Zoom – with very short notice we held a really successful 4th EuroPI Summit focusing on The Power of PI. Being on Zoom meant that more people than ever were able to attend and participate in our projects:

With trepidation and much counsel seeking we saw a vast rise in Area / District Public Information Committees starting to venture into the digital world for their PI efforts. Although this was met with some resistance, and some mistakes were made – we began to charter a safe course through the digital world.
Summer 2020
The Lockdown saw AMAZING happenings across Europe. Online meetings becoming the norm, we saw fellowships emerging in – France, Greece, Tenerife (Spain) and Italy – all new areas reaching out the EuroPI committee for help with getting started letting people know “We’re Here and We’re Free”.
Colour the World Week – Orange is the New Green was rescheduled to September (in the hope that the restrictions might be lifted by then!).
We attended a Social Media and Digital Tools workshop – a collaborative experience sharing event – more and more Districts and Areas have been utilizing the wide reach of media platforms for PI activities. London Area, West Country District (CAUK), Devon and Cornwall District (CAUK), Holland Area and Portugal Area, all became more experienced in traversing the potential pitfalls and working within our Traditions.
A PI ROCKS: Virtual Roadshow for our Pan Asian fellowship was presented.
The Power of PI Pamphlet was submitted to LCF as a referral.
We were delighted that WSO agreed to make the Message to Professionals Pamphlet available as a PDF – Committees across Europe were very keen to use this for the fast-approaching Colour the World Week.
Autumn 2020:
Colour the World Week – Orange is the New Green – began on September 13th.
Despite much of Europe being in various stages of COVID restriction, our rearranged global poster campaign was still a great success. We saw areas utilising the power of social media platforms, as well as using email and postal campaigns. There were also some fantastic billboard campaigns. In those areas able to ‘get out’ a great sense of appreciation for the unifying experience was fed back. Some areas reported up to 600% increases in calls to their info lines, as well as increased contacts via emails and social media messages.
The European sub-committee started making plans for our 5th EuroPI Summit – hoping that this could be held alongside the London Convention (see how we were still full of hope at this point!) We agreed to a theme of ‘The Four Pillars of PI’.
Some ongoing difficulties with our translation process needed to be addressed – gratitude to all involved in tackling and solving the issues here.
Winter 2020:
We saw a newly formed Wales Area form a PI committee, which launched into action with an ATM campaign (inspired by Kent District (CAUK) – now this has since been replicated by many other Areas / Districts).
A little working party was formed to prepare resources for a CPC week campaign ‘Let’s Get Back to Business’ ready for the upcoming Summit. The idea here was to replicate the success of the poster campaign week but this time with a focus on professional communities.
Combined experiences of using Social Media for Public Information continued to be shared, with London leading the way, we started to collate a combined experience ‘Right Here, Right Now’ document – again in readiness for our upcoming summit.
We started experiencing difficulties with Google AdWords across Europe. Our leaders in Portugal found that their ads were disallowed due to Google’s Policies. This was such a valuable learning experience – saving other areas and Districts from falling into the same pit.
We were delighted to see Areas/ Districts starting to present their own PI Rocks Roadshows.
Spring 2021
Our physical in person Summit plans were thwarted AGAIN due to the London Convention being rescheduled until later in the year, but our online plans became grand! Being more experienced with Zoom now we were able to start planning four separate breakout rooms for working on the Pillars of PI.
Denmark finally received their pamphlet translations, with much gratitude and Portugal received their translated HFC11 with much excitement and appreciation.
Holland: Working with local police forces has resulted in a ‘text bomb’ where police have sent local C.A. contact details to anyone with history of drug related offences. South Africa made Public Information Presentations to the South African Military.
The Northwest District CAUK started to use LinkedIn with great success – other areas / Districts followed suit and saw their Professional Community networking opportunities greatly increase.
Our 5th EuroPI Summit – took place on 19th – 21st March. We commenced with a PI Rocks presentation on Friday 19th. Then moved to our Four Pillars work groups which took place on Saturday 20th. We again focussed on producing different resources to benefit wider fellowship participation in PI service, these resources included: a virtual CPC campaign, which was similar to Colour the world week but aimed solely at reaching professional communities. We also worked on a centralised PI repository, some short form PSAs, a new generic PI media release, Audio files of approved readings and more.
All projects completed have been included in WSCPI SR14 pack for conference 2021, including some of the projects from last year’s Summit.
Summer 2021
Totally delighted to have supported brand new area C.A. Poland in their efforts getting started. We’re also delighted to welcome new PI chairs: from Denmark and from Ireland.
The Third Colour the World week is underway as I type. The images I’m seeing so far are of love and joy and unity across the globe. I hope and pray that we can replicate this with our new CPC week campaign.

This just about brings us up to date – there’s SO much more incredible work been done over the past two years, too much to include here – all I can say in closing is that I’m truly humbled and inspired by the phenomenal work done by the servants I walk alongside – rotating out of this post my heart is full of gratitude and admiration for you all.

North American PI Sub-Committee Report (Kimberly C.):
North American PI has had an incredible 2-year period of growth. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, the spirit of PI has prevailed and, as a committee, we adapted to our new reality in North America and showed up strong and ready to continue fulfilling the purpose of PI. In the chaos of COVID, our committee tapped into electronic resources and reached out to more and more Areas and Members than we could have dreamed possible!
Road Shows Galore!
Since the inception of the PI Rocks Roadshow, we have been able to present the tools and services of Public Information in multiple regions, areas and at local area events. These events have been super successful in inspiring and informing PI committees and interested members. It appears as though once the role of public information is understood, as explained in the Roadshow, members get excited and inspired. It’s an amazing tool for the growth of C.A.
The September 2019 Roadshow in Hamilton ON for a newly developed district PI committee. Within a few weeks committee members were out postering and handing out business cards.
The December 2019 Roadshow- big bilingual event in Quebec Area (Montreal). We had members from C.A. French and C.A. English all attend together. We had the Roadshow translated and we did it in two languages! At the end of the Roadshow, there were two lineups to sign up for the PI committees on the French side and on the English side. These committees both took off on FIRE in their Area.
The January 2020 Durham Region (SOCA Oshawa) at least 30 members came out in a snowstorm to attend the PI Rock Roadshow. Shortly afterwards, multiple groups in the Durham region elected group PI Liaisons and formed a “district PI Committee”.
In February 2020: The Roadshow Trip Event: Our wonderful secretary Christie, our Chair Stuart, and myself, embarked on a physical Roadshow road trip while on route to our 5th annual North American Summit, stopping and presenting in:
(a) Austin Texas on February 14th 2020,
(b) Houston Texas on February 16th 2020,
(c) Birmingham Alabama on February 19th 2020,
(d) Atlanta, Georgia on February 21st 2020
This road trip was so amazing, we spoke to so many people and provided lots of information to so many Areas. As a result, members from these Areas started attending our monthly organic PI calls.
Feb 29, 2020, Mississauga Roadshow, 10 members came out to learn how to start a PI committee in that part of the Area. Shortly afterwards they planned a poster drive and a professional presentation to treatment facilities.
March 2020: The World Changed – COVID-19:
We were terribly impacted by COVID. We lost two wonderful PI Trustees, Chris Redd and Vanessa Matthew Jackson, who were both close to our subcommittee physically, one in Chicago, and one in Atlanta. Less than a month before they passed (a few weeks apart), Vanessa and Chris were both sitting around the table with us at the Atlanta Summit. In fact, Chris was vital in setting up the summit and securing the venue.
Vanessa played a huge role in supporting our efforts and advising us. Upon hearing this tragic news, the committee was stunned and heartbroken. Their spirit of love and dedication to our fellowship, I believe, inspired us to keep moving forward and I’m sure they would be proud of the work we continue to do.

Summits
Feb 2020 Atlanta Georgia:
What a fantastic event! The Summit theme agreed upon globally was ‘The Power of PI’. There was a great turn out, in fact, the best turn out ever for a physical Summit. Over 20 members in attendance from all over Canada and the United States (and Scotland). Many Areas represented at the Summit for the first time! Projects worked on included:
Feb 2021 Virtual – Hosted by Southern Alberta:
First ever completely digital North American PI Summit, hosted by Southern Alberta Area. The summit theme was the global theme of the ‘Four Pillars of PI’. It was a great success! Had about 50 participants at peak, many of whom were able to attend because of the Zoom component. Committee members completed many projects for the good of C.A., including:
The Host Summit committee had originally planned to host physically but rallied to host an amazing virtual event. They did such a great and gracious job that the Committee unanimously voted the Southern Alberta Area to host a physical event the following year.
Ongoing PI Connection: Organic calls
All three North American organic PI calls; Atlantic South-Midwest, Pacific South and Southwest, Canada- Atlantic North-Pacific North, are still going strong and moving forward. The connection and sharing of ideas between areas and local committees is informative, educational and inspiring. These calls have become vital tools to our various PI committees and new PI Committee chairs.
Many new Areas have joined the organic calls including, Alabama Area, Atlantic Canada, Texas South Central Area. We’ve also had visits from the Tennessee Area, Colorado and Seattle Washington, to name but a few.
Poster campaigns
C.A. has embraced our yearly Poster Blitz event. In North America, many areas have turned it into a contest giving out prizes (like convention tickets for newcomers, T-shirts and other C.A. swag) to the groups or teams that put up posters in the most creative or impactful spots while always following guidelines.
Areas often post pictures of their poster drives which serves to inspire other areas to participate. It has proven to be a beneficial event. There has been participation from many Areas across the continent, it has been inspirational.
We have had many Areas relay stories of receiving calls shortly after putting up a poster which caught the eye of a struggling addict.
North American PI used the green poster 100 (Color the World Green) for the first year, the orange poster for the second year (Orange is the New Green), and the Banner Swirl Poster for 2021. Areas are autonomous and some have chosen to use leftover posters, or other posters preferred by their area.
ZOOM meeting info was promoted on Area PI posters and Area websites and throughout North America, despite the lockdown, more and more newcomers found their way to the rooms (Zooms) of C.A.
At this time there are “zoom babies” throughout North America picking up one-year medallions who have never yet been to a physical meeting but C.A., nevertheless was there in full force to carry the message to them.
Meetings that were struggling began to have more attendees on Zoom, many Areas had multiple new Zoom meetings taking place.
PI Events and other Victories:
November 2019: PI meet and greet event in Arizona Area, speakers Ray Grossa and Stuart Johnston- great turn out. PI members in attendance from various Areas. Lots of excitement and enthusiasm.
May 23, 2020: PI Talk given by PI member at a Local Area Event.
March/April 2020: Quebec Area -Montreal launched a media campaign and had C.A. PSA’s aired on multiple television News stations and on multiple radio shows.
March/ April 2020: NY Area and Quebec Area commence using Facebook to reach out to addicts still suffering, both Areas report hundreds of hits on their respective websites in response, and both have noted new members on Zoom calls joining after seeing the Facebook boosts for C.A. Other Areas begin to follow suit, including Arizona and Southern Ontario, BC and Southern AB. Areas in North America began to incorporate Instagram (following our UK family) and Tick Tock.
March/April 2020: Southern Alberta obtain a TV spot and have C.A. deemed as an essential service.
September 26, 2020: Members of our committee attended a Social Media & digital tools workshop to understand safe and best practices to harness the power of digital media.
January 23, 2021: Arizona, New York and Southern Ontario collaborated to provide a localized version of the Social Media & digital tools workshop presentation for North America. Many members in attendance and lots of excitement prevailed.
Ongoing: Areas sending in suggestions of organizations to be contacted by Trustees in hopes of introducing C.A. to their organization (EAP, drug awareness etc.)
Ongoing: Orange County, C.A. regularly participates in Beach Clean Up events by having a C.A. PI booth on site. They speak to individuals and hand out cards.
Ongoing: Wisconsin Area puts on bike runs- going on poster runs and handing out C.A. cards to first responders.
Ongoing: Southern Alberta, Manitoba Area put up booths in Homeless Connection events for organizations geared towards the homeless populations.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of the accomplishments of North American PI. There were PI events put on by many Areas that were not recorded physically. Throughout North America, the spirit of PI is alive and well and the drive to carry the message has never been stronger!!
Conclusion
These past three years in service to North American PI and to the WSCPI Committee as a subcommittee chair have been an unforgettable, fantastic experience for me. I have been blessed to meet so many wonderful folks and make so many new friends from around the world. I have been privileged to see the dedication of our PI soldiers in reaching out to those who still suffer, and have seen C.A. come into a new and progressive world of electronic media.
It has been such an honor to serve on the North American PI subcommittee, and to work with such an amazing team full of dedication and love for this Fellowship! So much gratitude for this committee and for this Fellowship.

PI Members Website Sub-Committee (Barry H.):
We have encountered some challenges in providing customised materials to districts and areas but we have come up with a solution to counter this which is nearly complete.
NADCP Sub-Committee (Amanda L.):
The NADCP is an annual meeting for Drug Court Professionals to learn additional skills and acquire resources for their participants. This year’s theme was Rise21”, the conference took place at the Gaylord Center in Washington, DC on August 15-18. This was a incredible and well attended event that garnered 450 contacts of drug court professionals across the US.
During the event Keith E., Mark N., Richard B. and I manned an exhibition booth filled with C.A. literature and materials. During the event we connected and spoke with countless drug court professionals about Cocaine Anonymous’ program of recovery. We gave out over two thousand pamphlets, 500 pieces about the OSA, and a case of books. We ran out of literature on the second day and had to be supplemented by the local area with pamphlets. The Local Area did a great job of chairing our 12 Step meetings and supplying chips for the members and guests who attended.
The Attendees were very interested in the all-inclusiveness of C.A. and had a great deal of interest in getting C.A. meetings started in their respective locations. There was a huge interest in our Online Service Area due to more Participants choosing online options. Interested parties were directed to the online site and they were very interested in the resource.
Terry M., Richard B., and I took to the stage to give a presentation that included PSAs, Posters and how the 12 Steps and involvement in the C.A. Fellowship had changed our lives and helped us end the cycle of destructive behavior. We covered how the steps work, how the fellowship works and that C.A. is for everyone with a desire to stop using Cocaine and all other mind-altering substances.
Next year’s NADCP Conference will take place in Nashville, TN. July 22-25, I have already contacted C.A. Members in that area to join the P.I. Committee.
PSA Media Outreach Sub-Committee (Jonathan M.):
The PSA Sub-committee took on the project of starting the “Here and Now” presentation. The project was worked on by committee members at the 2021 North American PI Summit and European PI Summit. The project was included in the new PI handbook and submitted in the SR14 for C.A.’s 2021 Conference for approval.
Hotline (Edward):
In Q3 2020, the WSCPI Helpline Subcommittee put forth a proposal to the WSOB for a North American helpline. The proposal was for the use of a cloud phone service called FreedomVoice which would be used as a call forwarding service to local helplines. The proposal was approved by both the WSCPI and WSOB. Unfortunately, we were unable to move further with this project as the WSOB decided to explore other options for a helpline vendor, until this time nothing has come to fruition. As such, the WSCPI Helpline Subcommittee has not moved forward with implementing a helpline solution either for North America or globally.
The Committee is grateful for its opportunity to serve the C.A. Fellowship and hopes that the work it has done has helped C.A. with its primary purpose.
Adhoc Committee (Kim G):
As an Adhoc Committee we have concluded our original purpose- to update and redesign the PI Handbook and Guidelines. Who would have guessed it would become a 2 year project with so many changes in how we interact and share information? From this project, many smaller sub projects have been born, and other projects have joined it! From the appendixes on Social Media (Right Here, Right Now), to the updated presentations, the new separated Committee Guidelines, to the birth of the idea for the online repository of ideas, so project results and best practice won’t be lost. These are just the highlights! The handbook itself was a beast to tame not just in its content, but in its design and in proofreading (many many times). We hope that Conference delegates enjoy reading the document as much as we enjoyed putting it together and it is approved, so that it can be used by fledgling and more experienced PI committees globally. It’s been an honour to serve as Chair on this committee and all its members. A heartfelt thanks to all that have taken a role, it’s been a privilege working with you.
Outreach Committee (Chris W):
I have thoroughly enjoyed communication throughout the year with new areas and new contacts, new friends and colleagues. I am continuing to reach out and am talking to Area PI chairs or other Areas to thank them for their service, sharing information on: Organic calls, PI Summits, PI.CA.ORG website, poster campaigns and PI work. I have also been asking how things are going in their Area and passing on requests to the world committee and regional committees on an ongoing basis. I have been staying involved in all three organic calls and sharing that information on the many secret Facebook pages of areas. I have been taking advantage of any opportunities to talk to anyone or any group about Public Information that I can to keep our members informed and up to date on changes with respect to Cocaine Anonymous.
REFERRALS UPDATE
REFERRALS STILL IN COMMITTEE:
PI 2021-01 LCF Committee (Pre-Conference) – The CAWS P.I. Committee develop an approval process for drafting and publishing P.I. material. This process to include WSBT review for any potential Traditions violations prior to WSC approval, as well as referral of any WSC approved written material to a professional editor, via the WSO, prior to publication.
SUMMARY OF SR14 MATERIALS:
1. Motion to approve the 2021 Public Information Handbook and appendixes.
Background: The 2021 Public Information Handbook is intended to replace the previously Conference-approved Public Information Handbook. The aim of the revamped Public Information Handbook is to give the fellowship the tools, resources, and best practices they need to conduct PI work in today’s modern world. The handbook has been created for use in both online and offline formats, with easy links to conference approved materials and templates.

Background: This is a repository of projects and documentation to be used as an educational resource for all PI servants. PI Committees around the globe have been sharing their innovative and creative campaigns with each other through messaging groups, email and word of mouth. However, if Chairs rotate out or if you are new to a committee, you may never hear about these campaigns and be able to learn from them. We came up with a more permanent solution. The Vault allows committees to share their Area approved campaigns with each other, with oversight from the WSCPI committee.

The WSCPI Committee would like the LCF Committee to accept the “What is Hope?” pamphlet containing already Conference approved material as a concept to be made available to the Fellowship.

The WSCPI Committee respectfully submits the following verbiage for inclusion on page 41 in the World Service Manual, to be inserted after the paragraph regarding the global poster campaign: The Public Information Committee shall organize an annual Public Information “Cooperating with Professional Communities” campaign to encourage the fellowship worldwide to become involved in a weeklong event during the third week of January. This week is dedicated to reaching out to Professional Communities (including, but not limited to medical and healthcare professionals, Criminal Justice organizations, Industry HR and Occupational Health departments) giving them information about who we are, what we do and how we can be of help to them and their clients / service users / employees.

PI 2019-01 Dawn M. CAUK Area (Post-Conference) – Please create a ‘monitor/report’ to be published prior to WSC 2019 to provide the fellowship at large through the body of the conference, information in respect where throughout the world the PSA’s are being broadcast and the potential reach/catchment/demographic of the audience for each individual broadcast platform.
This is information which is critical to inform any future deliberations regarding the concepts or development of further PSA’s.
Response: The WSCPI can provide data on how many PSA were completed which resulted in customization for Areas/Districts. In addition to that we can as a result of the YouTube channel, can provide the number of views on this platform. It is also worth noting one of the video PSA’s was aired on Dutch Television.
PI 2019-02 Jessi G. SCTA (Post Conference) – South Central Texas Area now includes other cities in addition to Austin, San Antonio, and Kerrville. Could you please add these cities (see attachment) to the Customized Materials (look for your Area) page of the website? (see attachment which went with this referral which the Committee has)
Response: Areas need to put in a specific request or requests through pi.ca.org.
PI 2019-03 Dawn M. CAUK Area (Post Conference) – In the interest of clarity for interested members and of course with respect of our 4th Tradition, please consider renaming your PI workbook on CA.org to a naming convention which reflects its purpose – World Service Conference Public Information Committee Guidelines.
Response: This will be addressed in the revision/rewrite of the Public Information handbook/guidelines.
PI 2019-06 Troy N Colorado Area (Pre-Conference) – Create an Area/District Manual on what CPC does.
Response: This has been addressed in manual revision
PI 2019-07 Amber H. West London District UK (In Conference) – Add Tradition 6 statement to all PI posters where there is editable space.
Response: The WSCPI Committee has agreed this will be done.
PI 2019-09 Cynthia C. Washington State Area (In Conference) – Re your motion to approve the “All Mind Altering Substances” banner: I love the idea but think it could have a broader impact if the substances were updated. Please consider adding a generic reference to opioids and/or something more specific, like oxy. Perhaps the end of the spiral could be extended to accommodate this.
Response: This was discussed with the referral maker and is solved.
PI 2019-10 Kelsey S, Ohio Area (In Conference) – There are several posters that have lines of Cocaine going down them. Two things about the posters. 1) The posters are too graphic. 2)If we are trying to promote “all other mind-altering substances” these posters don’t do that.
Could we have to same posters without the lines on them?
Response: The Committee has spoken with the referral maker, and he is happy with the result.
PI 2019-11 From Susan B. OSA (In-Conference) Consistency in carrying our message of recovery is in service of our common welfare. I respectfully ask that ALL event flyers, reports, minutes, and other PI materials be vetted and use the block letters C.A. correctly. We look to you for guidance and assistance in the attraction to our Fellowship.

PI 2019-12 From Susan B. OSA (In-Conference) That the WSC PI Committee separate its Committee Guidelines from the PI Handbook. The PI Handbook was named specifically to assist Districts and Areas in fostering ideas and best practices for doing C.A. Public Information. Thanks for your consideration!

PI 2019-13 From Susan B. OSA (In-Conference) That the PSA subcommittee provide poster templates conducive to being branded with information for use online. The current poster configurations do not support OSA needs. Thank you for your consideration!
Response: The files can be sent in a conducive format for web display.
PI 2019-14 From Susan B. OSA (In-Conference) That the PI Committee revive the movie theatre PSA project. There was progress on this some years ago but it has gotten lost in the current body of work.
Response: After further review the WSCPI Committee had decided against pursuing this project as a world committee feels is best left to individual Areas.
PI 2018-10 Drug Court in Canada
It looks like you’re doing a lot of work with Drug Court in the United States and I wanted to see there has been any efforts put into Drug Court in Canada and if not could we look into making some efforts to start reaching out to Drug Court in Canada.
Response: Drug courts in Canada do not have a conference similar to the NADCP. There are over 10 separate Drug courts that do not communicate. This is better addressed by individual Provinces. The NADCP will pass on any information they receive regarding contacts in Canada. As a committee the WSCPI Committee looking at contacting Canadian Drug Courts with the help of the WSBT to send the Trustee Introduction letter.
PI 2021-02 Cynthia C Washington State Area (Pre-Conference)
Fact file Back in 2019, LCF was asked to assist with formatting the Fact File. What’s attached to the PI SR-14 packet appears to be an earlier draft. Here is the final version I have in my archives if you would like to use it. Thank you.

First of all, I would like to thank all of our amazing Committee members for the work and dedicated service throughout the entire year, it has been inspiring to watch and be a part of.
