Tony D. – Very Cool. Quick announcements. Right to the side of the stage, we have your clickers ready in the order you are seated. Roll call starts.

Massachusetts Area proxied 2 vote.

COMMITTEE WORK THAT RESULTED IN MOTIONS

NONE

REFERRALS THAT DID NOT RESULT IN MOTIONS

Referral #2015 CFC 1

Agenda Item-Please have “electronic voting system training session” after “new delegate orientation”, short session -20 minutes added to Agenda for old & new Delegates.

Response:

Done

Referral #2015 CFC 2

My concern is with the “clicker” while I am all for the technological advances of the fellowship I am concerned with the potential problems that may exist using a device or devices which may be faulty. My concern arose when there was a consistent number of votes against regional trustee slates and the TAL slate. The opposition to the slates was consistent and I would hope that in the future during a “heated” debate that this would not unravel all the hard work that the conference did. 1) Were all the clickers tested 2) retested after being taken to the various locations by the delegates? I am not the only

APPROVED Redacted Page 2 of 117

conference member that feels this way as attested by Tom P. when he addressed the chair at conference

Response:

All clickers were tested personally by the Conference Chair and Conference Committee Vice-Chair prior to the Conference itself. Then, the actual voting mechanism was tested and confirmed as well.

Referral # 2015 CFC 3

I understand that in the past contact details of delegates/officers of conference were circulated for networking and information sharing, that this was stopped because some people abused the contacts list by sending spam. Please could the committee add a check box in the registration form for future conferences for members to ‘opt in’ if they wish to share their name/position and email addresses with a statement to the effect of these contacts are given to aid service only, please only use the contact list for the purpose of CA service and do not send unsolicited ‘spam’ i.e.: anything that is not directly related to CA service.

Response:

You asked. We’ll comply.

Referral #2015 CFC 4

The unity conference committee would like for the conference committee to eliminate the AM 12 step meetings from the conference because of very low if any attendance.

Response:

It will be removed from all future agendas.

Referral # 2015 CFC 5

That the chosen Conference theme be used in all communications between the committee and delegates regarding the Conference. The Unity Committee works hard to come up with a unifying theme for each Conference, yet I don’t see it reflected in documents from the Conference Committee or WSO. I think that this oversight needs to be corrected. Thanks for your consideration.

Response:

Done

REFERRALS OR ITEMS TABLED UNTIL NEXT YEAR; AND ITEMS THE COMMITTEE WILL CONTINUE WORKING ON THROUGH THE YEAR

CLOSING COMMENTS

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this Conference successful!! We are extremely grateful for the full participation of the Conference and all of its members. Everyone has rocked the NEW online referral process and are looking forward to everyone’s participation in the NEW online evaluation process. Thank you for helping us be a little more Earth-friendly and stream lining the process. We are also very excited about the introduction of ‘The Box’ and look forward to all we can do to continue to mainstream this process.

I would like to take this moment to thank the Conference Committee for making this job the most amazing part of my recovery to date. We work closely together, we care about each other and take care of one another. We have a good time doing our job and taking care of the Conference is our priority.

It has been an honor and a privilege for me to serve on this Committee for the last 6 years with these amazing people who I get to call my friends.

In Love and Service, Barbara N.

Conference Committee Rocks!

****************************************************

Tony D. – Any questions?

John W. – I did not get an electronic response letting me know that my electronic referrals had been received. Can that be implemented so we know our referrals have been received?

Susan L. – Thank you for that. We had a glitch. We will now make sure the creator of the referral gets electronic confirmation their referral was received.

Ernest M. – I sent a referral in about the clickers. I happened to notice that during the Trustee Slate process, there were some ‘no’ votes that appeared to be the same number on all slates, plus I have other concerns.

Barbara N. – We looked at this referral and our response is in our report.

Tony D. – Trevor and I tested every clicker. The number of ‘no’ votes were not the same each time. There are many people who really like the process as it is less peer pressure. We did look at your referral and we did test the clickers twice. Tony D. – Thank you Conference committee. Next up is LCF.
