SUB-COMMITTEES
Creative Writing Sub-Committee
Statement of Purpose: Our tasks as the Creative Writing Committee are to encourage members to enthusiastically share their H&I experience, strength, and hope with the fellowship of Cocaine Anonymous through our regularly published NewsGram. By sharing these experiences worldwide, we continue to carry this message to the still suffering addict, which in turn will inspire them. Our duties are to provide and collect release forms and submissions of these miraculous testimonies.
Goal for the Year: Our goal for this year is to increase the amount of NewsGram submissions, to solicit stories for the H&I Corner, and continue to supply the editor with stories on a regular basis. We also will follow up on all commitments from the fellowship to provide articles. Our goal is also to keep the NewsGram circulating within our worldwide fellowship.

Outreach Sub-Committee
Statement of Purpose: Our primary purpose is to carry the message of recovery to the still-suffering addict and newcomer. Related concerns, we will also continue to track H&I Worldwide and promote the awareness and development of C.A. Lifeline Committees.
Goals for the Year:
- To help facilitate greater awareness of C.A. Lifeline and encourage and inform the formation of C.A. Lifeline within the H&I Committees within our Fellowship. Refer to C.A. Lifeline Sub Committee Guidelines
(WSM H&I pg 14-20)
- To continue to track H&I within our fellowship by maintaining regular contact with our Regional Trustees so we can compile quarterly H&I meeting totals, and encourage growth. We will further develop contact with H&I chairs from our Areas and Districts so that H&I meeting information can be readily available. To see where both our strengths and weaknesses are, and to determine what solutions are being implemented to overcome obstacles being encountered.
- To assist concerns related to H&I within the C.A. fellowship by maintaining a relationship with our Regional Trustee, our H&I, Area and District Chairs and respond to requests related to H&I issues.
- To develop a contact list of H&I Chairs within our Areas and Districts to open a channel for information to be readily exchanged around the world. This goal will be achieved through contacting our Regional Trustees, our Area Chairs, and Area Delegates to find out who their H&I Chairs are and by obtaining contact information.

Correctional Refferral
Statement of Purpose
Responsible for answering inmate letters and informational inquiries from correctional facilities and/or those currently incarcerated. This sub-committee has set up a system with the WSO to retrieve and answer letters. This will help us to ensure that all requests get a proper response mailed to them.
Goals for the Year: Our goal is to continue responding to the letters that we receive in a timely manner. We hope to answer many more letters and hope we were of service to our incarcerated brothers and sister. We want to serve our primary purpose through jails and institutions.

We will continue to have monthly communication and hope to be of service to your areas and answer your concerns and questions as they pertain to H&I from our wealth of H&I experience. We hope to establish global communication links, providing avenues for H&I groups around the world to share their concerns, problems and coming to common solutions.

Tony D. – Any questions for the committee?
Jim S. – Thank you for your committee work. I heard you say that you did not want to take the new issues regarding the H&I Can. My question is where is God in all this regarding the H&I Can funds? I would like to ask your committee to allow this to be debated to the entire conference floor.
David C. – I would like you to consider the decision on the H&I Can. I was happy to see the SR 14 regarding this issue. You guys have decided to drop this without a thorough investigation of this issue. In the UK, this has been an issue. It has an impact on 7th tradition.
Greg I. – Our group chose not to address it because it is a very large issue. Our group did discuss this. We plan on addressing it and researching this issue. We did address this throughout the year.
Henry A. – I did not see any referrals. Were there any?
Greg I. – We got one referral. Will put it in next year’s.
Tony D. – Please thank the committee.
Break until 10:10 a.m. PDT.
