Committee Reports
PI committee takes the conference floor. Diane D., PI Chair: The PSA committee was asked last year to change the name of the PSA “Going Down” to “Elevator” for now. The PI committee is checking on the cost of putting the 1-800 number in the “800” directory.
PI committees answers to items refereed from the conference floor:
A sub committee was developed for CPC.
Working on the editing of the PI Workbook. Some work was finished today.
Will be working on a chapter in the Workbook about the 5th Tradition.
A Storybook campaign committee has been organized and is being headed by Sylvie.
A Statement of Purpose for the PI committee has been developed
Pi committee motions:
Motion to approve the PI committees Statement of Purpose. ” The purpose of the 118 WSC PI committee is to: (1) Develop a means of communicating the CA message of recovery to those outside our fellowship with a personal or professional need; (2) Develop, maintain and distribute through WSO, the PI workbook with appropriate guidelines for use by areas, districts and groups; (3) Develop, maintain and distribute through WSO, hotline and helpline guidelines be used by areas, districts and groups; (4) Develop and maintain press kits, press clippings, fact files and the like and make them available for use by areas, districts and groups, and; (5) When needed, initiate and coordinate PI efforts among CA areas.” Passed.
A Motion to approve the WSC PI committee 1993-1994 budget is passed after some discussion about the PSA line item and a Motion to Limit Debate is passed. Total PI budget is $8,750. PSA committee $6,200. PI survey committee, which will be following up with the CA world services, $200. Hotline, helpline committee $200. Cooperation with the professional community committee $200. PI workbook committee $200. WSC PI and CPC WSO liaison expenses $100. The WSC PI storybook campaign committee $1,150. WSC PI committee officer’s expenses $100. And cost of non-delegate chair $400.
Jim J., Convention Committee chair, introduces Burt R. to present a video and oral presentation on Denver for their Convention bid to host the 1996 World Convention. The Convention committee presented Larry R. for their convention bid in Atlanta, Georgia for the 1996 World Convention.
CONVENTION COMMITTEE MOTIONS:
Motion to “accept the Cleveland budget as presented”. Discussion on various line items in the budget.
Session ends with Sylvie doing the Lords Prayer in French then leading the conference with the Lords Prayer in English.
