Meeting opened at 7:10 with John B. leading us in the WE version of the Serenity Prayer.

Roll call to establish quorum: Quorum declared on the basis of 5 available votes. Birthdays:
Visitor Reports: Teresa N. voiced concern about delegate’s duties not being specified in writing in our WS Manual. Suggested a possible referral for next WS conference regarding duties of delegate’s to be put in writing.

- KJ/TP Motion to table minutes of Sept 14th for approval until Oct 12th. Pass

Robin L. Has big plans for better order and a more professional look to the office.
Lisa M. Staff is great. Piggy backed on Robin’s report, that the office order and sorting out the old out dated stuff is coming along so well. And the spam problem is better. Discussed the graphics of the Celebrate Around the World logo.
Also informed the WSOB that a button has been added to CA Web site for easier, access to the contributions fund application and info link.

Tom P. – Treasurer: Written report submitted. Voiced concern about the contribution program account not being automatic and is behind in deductions. The check for the old Lanier copier is still in the hands of the office and looking to go out to pay off the copier company. Says great job clearing out the back room.
John B. – Chair: No written report submitted. Welcomed Robin L. to the office and thanked her for all her hard work and enthusiasm.
Form a subcommittee to facilitate plan regarding literature translation. No new news

Kathy Jo R. – Director i: Written report submitted. Addressed concerns on the CAWS 2007.
Overall things are going well for CAWS 2007. Lots of interesting ideas and concerns regarding our CA web site.
*Motion EH/HH to suspend the rules and extend the time to continue the WSOB agenda. Motion passed.
Ear/ H. – WSOB Trustee: Written Report Submitted. Local and long distance phone bill looks good. It is now under $300.00.
Hayward H. WS Trustee: No written report submitted. International outreach literature translation committee is off to a good start.

NEW BUSINESS:
- Next WSOB meeting is October 12th, 2006
- Discussion on a check from a recovery facility should we accept it or not. Yes to accept the check under anonymous, it was found to be from an individuals.
- Discussion on the Add of the CAWS fundraiser bracelet in the News Gram. There will be further discussion on this issue at a future meeting after some consideration and research.
- Discussed the Pedal
*Motion kJ/ HH to donate $185.00 to SFVCA PI for their sober day LA for Spanish literature. Pass unanimously.
- Discussed the order form for literature and needs further review.
- Pamphlet for newcomer will be discussed at a later date.
- The Digital recorder.
* Motion EH/HH to purchase the Marantz digital recorder at a cost of $499.00.
*Motion KJ/TP to table above motion until more information.
Referrals: The WSOB received some post-conference referrals which John will email to the Board once he receives these in electronic format. He only has hard copies at this time.
