MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING

SEPTEMBER 22, 1988

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. with the serenity prayer.

David read the long version of the 5th tradition.

Bob C. read the minutes of the August 24th meeting. Motion: To accept the minutes as read, seconded and carried.

Treasurer’s Report – Bob C.

July

Bob suggested that we have a $10,0’00 reserve in the bank for the functioning of this office. Although this is an excellent suggestion, we just do not have the funds to do this. Bob also suggested that perhaps another letter go out to the fellowship requesting funds to help with our re-location.

Old Business

1. V-lok with the correct logo is being printed and will be available for distribution to areas and delegates in the next mailing. We will print 500 of each (the logo and the conference approved logo) unless printing 1000 of each is a better price.
2. WSO state tax exempt forms were filed. Now waiting foi? forms from IRS.
3. I. order forms and covers letters submitted. Steve will review with committee at their meeting 9/24/88.
4. World Directory is complete and ready for distribution.
5. Motion to start board meeting at 6:30. Seconded and carried, (this in on a trial basis)
6. Literature will be discussed at the next board meeting. 23 questions to be placed on a-card for distribution.

New Business

1. W.S. Conference Convention was suggested to take place’v (prior to a conference)here in Southern California to raise monies for the conference. If not a convention, some type of event. Tabled
2. Typewriter needed for this office. Helene willing to sell her typewriter. Motion to purchase for $180. Seconded and carried.
3. Connection – Susie has asked that we separate the amount of issues ordered from areas so that she will know how the sales of the connection is going.

d. Newsgram – will be 6 pages this printing due to it being a conference issue. Quality of paper will change in order to save money. If we use this same paper, this issue would cost approximately $350 more.

Motion to adjourn 9:50pm seconded and carried.
