Wednesday September 2.1992

During the process to select a replacement Conference Vice-Chair, 4 candidates were nominated, 2 votes reduced the candidates to Heidi Jonathan and Jennifer Cole, a motion TO SUSPEND THE RULES TO CONSIDER CHANGING THE STANDING RULE PROHIBITING CONFERENCE OFFICERS FROM VOTING passed, a motion was made to “allow Jennifer to vote as Vice-Chair just this year in 1992”, and there was an unsuccessful motion to appeal the Chairperson’s ruling on the nature of the motion to suspend the rules. The final result was that HEIDI WAS CHOSEN TO SERVE AS THE 1992 CONFERENCE VICE-CHAIR.

Thursday September 3, 1992

The MINUTES OF THE 1991 WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE WERE APPROVED WITH ONE CORRECTION (CHANGE “JIM S.” TO “JIM V.” TWICE ON PAGE 7 AND 12 TIMES ON PAGE 8).

After the service resume for Carrie Calderone was read, John Davidson’s motion to SUSPEND THE RULES TO APPROVE THE SLATE OF CANDIDATES BASED UPON THE REGIONAL NOMINATIONS passed and John’s motion to APPROVE THE ENTIRE SLATE OF CANDIDATES PRESENTED passed. (The approved candidates included Carrie Calderone, Karl Urbach, Ben Lesko, Bob Carlson, Cynthia Chronkhite, Craig Williams, Ken Mullen, Andrew Kirk, Eddie Johnson, Kevin Dodd, Jim Van Namen, Darryal Williams, Mike Doll, Randy Denike, Don Plunk, Robert Lyle, John Pytel, and Ronny Mintz.

Friday September 4,  1992

Debbie Harris, Trustee Nominating committee chairperson, announced the selection of Jennifer Jones as the new Southwest Region Trustee and John Henson as the new Trustee from the Atlantic South Region. She also announced that the Trustees had added a new Trustee-At-Large and named Chris Phillips to fill that position.

After surviving an unsuccessful motion to refer back to committee and a MOTION TO CLOSE DEBATE passed, the PI committee motion to APPROVE THE STORYBOARD, “GOING DOWN” FOR PRODUCTION INTO VIDEO FORMAT passed by a vote of 67 to 44.

Use this digital repository site for the most up-to-date a reliable history of Cocaine Anonymous. This site is hosted by the C.A. Service Sponsorship Group, which is a member of the C.A. Online Recovery Area and curated by Cocaine Anonymous Archivist, Cameron F. who has been involved in collecting, preserving, cataloguing and presenting the history of Cocaine Anonymous to the fellowship since 2009. Cameron F. is currently the C.A. Archivist and Secretary for C.A. World Archive Committee, Southern Ontario C.A. Area Archivist, Online International Area (formerly the OSA) Archivist and the Online Recovery Area Archivist.
