TEC Report:
INTRODUCTION AND COMMENTS:
The 2023 Trustee Election Committee (TEC) has received candidates from seven of the eight Regions, and from the World Service. The active slates this year include the European Regional Trustee and the World Service Office Trustee. We did not receive any submissions of candidates for the Non-Addict Trustee position.
As the Chair of the TEC, I would like to point out the importance of the Regions submitting proper slates. This year one Region did not submit any candidates and four Regions did not submit a slate of at least two candidates for Regions besides the Pacific South Region and four for the Pacific South Region as per the World Service Manual. I can still remember my service sponsor getting vocal during a Regional Assembly when the Region did not have a slate to submit. He said, “The purpose of the Assemblies is to submit a slate.”

Lead Trustee Report – Submitted August 2023
A few years ago, a project was worked on addressing how the fellowship of CA could be arranged to better reflect membership in each region making the representation on conferences, WSBT and other service bodies more fair.
Work was done
Two years ago (2021) a presentation was held at the World Service Conference regarding Regional Restructure. Last year, the topic was revisited and discussed.
Last years debate and discussion resulted in that all Delegates would take back to Areas and get feedback to Regional Trustees so that the voice of the fellowship could been heard. The concept was sent out, and the consensus was that the fellowship was not in favor of the outlined proposal – though, many voices was raised for taking action in some manner to meet the needs the fellowship has due to its global growth.

We have taken it back to the LTP to come up with an updated, outlined plan that meets the needs of the fellowship as well as the approval.
