MINUTES OF THE BOARD MEETING
MAY 26, 1988
In attendance:

The meeting was called to order with serenity prayer at 7:30pm. Sara C., read long version of Tradition One.
Sara C., read minutes of board meeting of May 12th.
Motion: To accept minutes as read. Seconded and carried.

- UPS bill from Toronto/Canada to Tony Roma’s – Cory to call and check on.
- Linda dropped off paper work for payroll taxes to Bob. Helene and Bob C., to meet next week (Tuesday) to discuss.
- Motion: To transfer $4,500 from Trust Acct. to Operating Acct. Seconded and Carried.
**Chips & Literature/Office – Cory:
- Cory to present inventory/sales information next board meeting.
- One mailing per month. Motion: Mailing to go out last Monday of month, to be received by first Monday of each month. Seconded and carried.
- Conference Committees using World Service Office to be scheduled: Motion: Conference Committee to use office must contact Chairperson, two weeks prior to date needed. Must schedule meeting so as not to interfere with regular business hours of 11AM to 6PM. Seconded and carried.

Old Business:
- Service Contract – Steve P., has friend who will give same service contract quoted at $631 for $500. He will pick up computer and service within 48 hours. He will usually replace computer while servicing our computer. Motion: To buy service contract from Calif. Micro Systems for $500. Seconded and carried.
- Cory to mail insurance information to Helene.
- Bob to purchase file cabinet.
- Tom Z., to handle insurance. Sending paperwork to Cory.
- Copy Machine – Motion: Two people to go out and investigate copy machine and service contract (for at least one year) total cost for both to be under $10,000. Seconded and Carried. Helene and Steve P., to do so.
- WSO 30% donation – Board Member to go out to area meeting and discuss: Bob C., Steve P., to attend LA Board Meeting, Helene and Sara(?) to attend San Fernando, Steve P,, and Bob C.,to attend San Gabriel.
- Helene filed for Federal Tax ID, sent in form for nonprofit status. State Board of Equalization – Cory to give total sales for 3/87 through 12/87 and 1/88 through 5/88 California only (and not having resale number (?). Helene to call and find out. Exempt Certificate – Helene to send projected budget June 1, 1987 to May 1, 1988 and last Financial Statement. Cory to obtain copy of office lease for Helene.
- Helene is sending job descriptions out to Trustees.
- Shelves for office: Motion: Purchase shelves that are moveable and not to exceed $100. Seconded and carried. Steve P., to get.
- Someone to hang CA sign in office.
- Refrigerator – Bob C., may have one available.
- Sara has resigned her post but will keep commitment until someone has filled the position. Board members are to put out to fellowship need for Secretary. Steve P., thanked Sara for service,
- Bob C., to contact Bob G., regarding whereabouts of master of PSA.
- Bob L., spoke to Steve P., and has reviewed all of the tapes and found that all were different sizes, 1/2″, 3/4″, etc., All were “The Straw” spot and had different phone numbers including L.A., S.F., and N.Y. Steve suggested that we get a generic master which would inform people and then ask them to call local directory assistance for more information.
- WSO is still looking for new P.I. chairperson.
