Meeting called to order at 7:05 p.m. Judy read the 3rd Tradition; Howard read the 3rd Concept.
- Motion (Jon/John) to approve the minutes of 05/05/05 as submitted passes.
Office Manager: See written report to WSBT. Attached draft financial reports. Believes projected income for YE 2006 budget is overstated by $45,000. Last minute shipping to Convention increased shipping price by approximately $200. Need people to carry radios to Memphis.
VISITOR REPORTS: Howard – CA is still growing in South Central. Has outreach ideas to share that will be discussed at a future WSOB meeting.
OFFICER REPORTS:
Treasurer: See written reports. Sales were better for April, but still haven’t caught up from previous months.
Chair: No written report. Submitted report to WSBT. Has had weekly phone calls with Chair of WSBT and several phone calls with Office Manager.
Vice Chair: See written report to WSBT. Last Sunday was LCF Storybook Subcommittee phone conference. Approved 4 more stories; 20 stories have now been edited, approved and sent to the WSBT. I assisted Director 2 with proofreading of program for 2005 CAWS Convention. I proofread NewsGram and emailed my changes to editor.
Secretary: OPEN – Vice Chair took meeting minutes.
Director 1 (Jon F): See written report to WSBT.
Director 2: Submitted report to WSBT. CAWS 2005 Convention Auction looking for an auctioneer. Mayor of Memphis wants to present certificate of appreciation to CA at the banquet. Contribution Program table will be near registration. We’ll have CA logo pendant to give away as incentive for people to sign up.
World Service Office Trustee: absent
World Service Trustee: We have still not received a lot of contracts for CAWS 2005
Convention! Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Convention there will be a meeting with Co-
Anon. Among other things, they want to discuss their share of registration fee from

Convention. We currently pay them $15.00 per Co-Anon registration. Has been askedto investigate the use of the CA trademarked logo in the U.K. Will cost money to ask our lawyer to look into it – will check to see how much.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Motion (Patty/John) to print 1,200 copies of the CAWS 2005 program at a cost not to exceed $2,500 passes.
- Motion (Patty) to allow CAWS 2005 committee members master billing rights to afford them a discounted rate for their hotel rooms fails for lack of second.
- Motion (Patty/Kathy Jo) to pay Arbee Kendrick $350 for comedic entertainment on Sunday night during the banquet at CAWS 2005 passes.
- Motion (Patty/Kathy Jo) to accept contract with MATA for 40 hours at $50 per hour for a total not to exceed $2,000 passes.
- Motion (Patty/Kathy Jo) to rescind the motion to approve the contract with Premier Transportation services passes.
- Motion (Patty/John) to prepay Rebecca McKinney $300 for public information/outreach in 3 $100 payments passes.
- Motion (Patty/) to prepay La Sherial Wootin $450 for hospitality in 3 payments passes.
- Motion (Patty/Judy) to pay Premier Ice Sculptures $250 for ice sculptures for the banquet passes.
OLD BUSINESS:
- Motion (Patty/Kathy Jo) to take off the table the motion to pay Rodney Simelton $800 for live music performance at the auction gala pending contract amendments passes.
- Original motion passes.
