Meeting called to order at 7:15 pm with the Serenity Prayer.
Jay W. read the Sixth Tradition.
Bunny read the minutes from tLe February 22, 1990 Board Meeting. Motion was made to accept the minutes with corrections. Second and passed.

OFFICE MANAGER’S REPORT: Mary C.
Mary handed out a list of on going projects in order of there priorities. Mary has been very busy making the transition from L.A.C.A. to W.S.and was not able to turn in a written report.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
PUBLIC INFORMATION – Jay W.
The March 3, 1990 edition of Los Angeles Magazine, carried an article that was not good regarding A.A., Jay passed a form letter around for approval so that future articles could be better handled. David suggested that WS get a P.0, box for letters and inquires from the-press. Mary said that this would be good for tax purpose) A motion was made to get a P.O. box. It was seconded and passed. There was a motion made to accept the form letter that Jay submitted it was second with an amendment that address on the letter head include P.O. box address, 2 for 1 abstention, motion carries. Jay submitted written Committee report 3/3/90.
There was discussion regarding 800#. Mailer will be cheaper to rent

This system can start immediately, this company is located in Boulder Colorado. Questioning came up regarding a press packet for the conference, is there one? No one seems to know. Helene also found a local answering service in the SFV for $49.00 monthly 24 hour service and over 100 calls is 30 cents more. There was a motion made to get the Sprint and the answering service in the SFV. The motion was seconded and passed.
NEWSGRAM: Bill Z.
Bill said that he has been in contact with Nancy Sue and Greg and that the Newsgram is ready to go! It was suggested to print a bunch and to reuse some articles and to distribute them with chips and literature. Three issues will come out with a large distribution, it may cost some money. The Connection will be ready in time for the Convention in May.
- ) Mary needs to mail a copy of board minutes to Nancy Sue.
- ) Bill feels that one of the problems with the Connection is that no one follows through. He is going to find out ‘’Who and Why”. Helene would like to see the Connection before it goes to print. Bill feels that it is important that something comes out and maybe there could be an assistant editor.
- ) The 26 Tips final copy has been submitted and they need approval from the Literature Committee with revisions.

- ) Mary said that the scrolls are not doing well. AAA is very expensive and maybe we should by windows shades at K-Mart and have a company silk screen the shades with two colors.
- ) Helene asked about the possibility of order forms for literature.
- ) David said that the World Directories have to be redone due to problems on the computer. It will take David 1 to 2 weeks to redo them. Mary said that Doreen for the South Bay will come in and help get it together. Doreen will be at the next board meeting 3/27/90.
LONERS: Pamela K.
Pam talked to Susan at the P.R. firm, there was a copy of the press release approved by Reggie and Ray, there was some misinformation given in the release. Reggie suggested that Pam call Sue to discuss the problem. Jay gave Pam a letter that will go out to L.A.C.A. regarding the Loners Group. Pam will try To compile a letter with a explanation of what the Loners Group is about, with a release form attached and submission for publication. Also people need to stay in contact with the WS office. Pam would like to keep all this information very simple so it can be approved for contact, there will be an updated mailing list with the Connection and Newsgram. Pam is also interested in getting this information out to people in the fellowship who are deaf. Mary referred Pam to Olin. also letters went out to the delegates.
OLD BUSINESS:
- Hazeldon finally responded and seemed happy to help. They want a V-lock for their catalog for logos and asked about a discount on all large quantities.
- Conference mail went out, the packages included registration forms.
- Former Chairman Bob M. passed away and the WSO sent flowers to his wife and family.
