CHAIR ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Earl H. excuse for not having proper introduction for the new treasurer, will correct the situation.
- Confirm the official receiving of Bill Zimmerman C.A. archives and is working with Archives committee Chair.
- Susan reads the relevant day from ‘A Quiet Peace’.
- May 7, 2022, minutes were approved.

CAWS CONVENTION REPORT
CAWS 2022. (Austin). Susan L
Highlights:

- Wow! It was certainly worth the wait! Getting together after these years, still overwhelmed with emotions and gratitude. We ended up with 875 registrants, plus day passes and H&I participants (+200). All the food events and memorabilia sold out
- We have exceeded every contractual obligation in our contract with the Hyatt.
- CAWS2023 launch was successful, they sold their t-shirts and had great raffle revenue
- Regarding the Pass it-on we are working on the report, we plan to complete it by conference.
- There were 11 of us that attended the 2022 World Convention in Austin. We focused on fundraising including Shirt Sales and an Opportunity Drawing. Both were successful. We also received $500 seed money from Arkansas.
- We were able to follow our counter parts and take time to learn that which will be required of us in 2023. This experience was invaluable.
CAWSO 2024 (Amsterdam) Joost van K could not attend, but submitted a report
- Made great progress electing new members in the team 21 of 39 positions filled (54%)
- First blueprint of program outline shared with the team.
- 3 most important deliverables we will focus on in the coming period: program, get service positions filled and get logo / artwork to the next level
CAWSO 2025 (Arizona) Jay P.
- They are on a hold to get out of the way of their coming state convention.
- Considering the current economy situation, regarding the hotel, they will wait before getting into contract discussion (six months) for the whole situation get clearer.
- If we do not receive bid for this convention at this year Conference, it will be to the WSOB to take responsibility for the organization. We could still wait after next year Conference before starting the process.
OFFICE DIRECTOR REPORTS
Director of Operations- Lolita S.
Highlights:
- Office update:
- Would like to add a new “Fundraising Expense” line item for our ongoing Freedom Fund fundraising efforts.
- CA 40th Anniversary, November 18, 2022, Terry M. is working to have a virtual world event and bringing members that were there in 1982 and He would like our blessing and support, particularly with promotion.
- Working with Cameron to customize donation receipt.
- Insurance application sent to WSO Chair and WSOT
- Merchandise:
- Supply Chain Matters: Drafted a letter to send to the Fellowship in a special Delegate Mailing.
- We received several plastic chips this week and will be working to get them out.
- Contacted three plastic coin vendors and will research more vendors to possibly manufacturer our plastic coins.

Interim Chair – Earl H.
Highlights:
- I visited the WSO on May 10th and May 24th met with the Director of Operations and Staff. We discussed priorities and confirmed Convention preparations.
- Forwarded new Liability Insurance policy renewal to WSBT.
- Reviewed back orders and reordering inventory.
- Reviewed expense voucher policy and learned about debit cards use recently adopted for use by WSO and WSBT.
- Picked up checks, reviewed, signed, and handed off to WST
- Reconfirmed understanding that 7th tradition checks received would be sent receipts.
Interim Vice Chair- John B.
Highlights:
- During the Convention I took time to meet with the chairperson of the World Service Conference Committee, Justine K., to address current and emerging concerns related to conference business and improved communications with the WSO and WSBT concerns about process and procedure.
- Additionally, I was able to meet with Russell S., Chair of the conference, related to his own set of concerns and challenges related to the conference process.
- On Sunday June 12th the SR14 review sub-committee of the conference committee met to put eyes on help to prepare for the upcoming mailing on June 30th.
Treasurer – Jonathan H.
Highlights:
- Working with support to setup emails and a workstation to access QuickBooks.
- Setup a meeting with Laurie, I will be in L.A. second week of July to go to the bank for bank accounts transfers and signing capabilities setup.
- Motion from Laurie to change account 100114 name from “B of A O/Y Petty Cash (7380)” to “B of A Petty Cash (7380)”, seconded, passed
Secretary – Yves W.
Highlights:
- Provided the April 16, 2022, WSOB monthly committee meeting minutes.
- Received only one article for the Q22022 edition, went through the NewsGram Archives, and will use
some articles that talked about experiencing conventions and fun in recovery.
Director of Conv & Conf – Robert B. could not attend, but submitted a report
Highlights:
- What is the status of Award Point programs? We will need to set this up in the name of an individual. We Needed This for Austin (Hyatt) and will need for Dallas/Atlanta (Marriott Bonvoy).

- Need to finalize credit card fees for event

- Freedom fund update from CAWS 2022 convention, an annual uplift of 4,500$ was donated.

- New Website development group. Creating a “structured argument for change” Developing Fictitious Personas of Users.
- Conference Virtual attendance delegated to WS Conference Committee
- IS&D Liaison
- Working on Global Distribution project.
- WSOB PSA
- Working on completing a Translation policy proposal.
- Motion: to establish a WSOB AD HOC Committee to revise current processes and procedures (Financial, Operational, Policies, etc.), expected output from AD HOC Committee is WSOB Internal Operating Guidelines, seconded, passed.

Highlights:
- LCF Committee
- Couldn’t attend their last meeting and from the minutes of the May 22 meeting, nothing to report.
Director at Large – Joanne P. Highlights:
- CAWS Unity Committee highlights
- They have completed their SR 14 for conference with an update to the Unity Manual. They have agreed to support at Conference with the welcome dinner.
- They are still taking nominations for the logo for Celebrate Around the World.
- CAWS PI Committee highlights
- SR 14 submissions have been completed.
- Regarding NADCP presence, they request requirements regarding to follow any leads from NADCP and whether it does give a clear return on investment.
- Motion: To open a WSOB bank account with HSBC with the following signatories: Jonathan H. (Treasurer), Joni E. (WST), Johan T. (MERT), Jo P. (DAL), seconded, passed.
TRUSTEE REPORTS
WST Trustee – Joni E.
Highlights:
- WSBT Q2 Meeting – World Service Convention Austin
- All WSBT room reservations have been finalized for the convention
- WSBT Meeting Minutes
- Minutes from the WSBT Q1 have been finalized, in the process of review by the full board. I will have the minutes to the office this week to be added to the next delegate mailing

- Minutes from our last conference call (4/3/22 & 4/24/22) have been drafted and distributed to the WSBT for review. I hope also to have these minutes to the office to be included in the next mailing
- LEGAL
- All markers are registered and up to date except South Africa. There has been regular follow up with South African counsel and a request for status was sent.
- We are still awaiting the turnover of all our files from the prior counsel.
- We continue to evaluate the need for registration in emerging areas. Following is a list of the areas being discussed:

WSOT TRUSTEE – Laurie R.
Highlights:
- WSBT
- Had one-on-one meetings with the DOO and WSO Interim Chair on Thursday, May 26th in Austin.
- Conducted interviews and ratified Jonathan J. a new WSO Treasurer.
- Ratified Earl H. as Interim WSOB Chair.
- Ratified all remaining members of the WSOB – all Directors and Interim Vice Chair.
- Motion: That the WSOB use the same index (in use for the licensing agreements) for the royalties’ agreements, seconded, passed
UNFINISHED BUSINESS/PROJECT UPDATES
Translation status
- Motion: from Jonathan H. to name David as the chair of the WSOB Translation committee, seconded, passed
NEW BUSINESS
- Expense Report policy- Receipts required? Debit cards?
- The same policy of supplying receipts will be enforced for all debit cards expenses.
- Creation of DBA for use with Wire transfer Bank Account to eliminate the name Cocaine Anonymous from appearing as payee
- This will need to be discussed with the bank during the planned visit as for what would be involved to correct the issue.
