MINUTES COCAINE ANONYMOUS GENERAL SERVICES BOARD MEETING

There was no agenda distributed. The meeting proceeded as follows:
- The Hospitals and Institutions Panels Committee vas discussed.
- According to Gil, Public Information Director, correspondence has slowed to 1 or 2 letters per week. He is trying to get together with Bruce to discuss his replacement as he is resigning.
- Board terms and replacements were discussed. Names of nominees were listed and voted on for preference. Johnny will contact those people with 2 or more votes to ask if they would be interested. Following were the suggestions: Misty Lozano, Bruce McCulloughs, Willie Oswald, Mirandi Babitz, Candy Jordan, Sue Bernstein, Cindy Duncan, Jeanette Istvan, Wally Istvan, Lorna Fennenbock. Howard Russak, Pia Kaye.
- A suggestion vas made to create a bookkeeper position not on the Board to report to the Treasurer.
- Ray mentioned that San Francisco was having its one-year anniversary on July 25. L.A. CA will send a letter of congratulations .
- Ray said that of the 4 people nominated to work at the office, only Sue Bernstein was interested.
- Khrista is having a phone cable installed at the office. She has a person coming to check out the office and give an estimate. It should take one hour or less and be no more than $100.00.
- Ray talked to a person from New York who has an Encyclopedia of Associations. It lists CA as a loosely organized group in L.A. Ray will write them a letter with additional address information.
- Ray passed out National Directories to the Board members. He will make 75 copies.
- Gil will ask for 1/2 month’s rent off since the office is not ready. Mitch will send the check with a note.

Wednesday, July 25, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a World Services meeting. There will be no Board meeting on August 1. The next Board meeting will be held Wednesday, August 15, at 7:30 p.m. The next monthly meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, at 7:00 p.m. at the new central office.
