Meeting called to order at 7:40pm.

Old Business:
- Storybook on audio tape:
- Have 3 bids for production.
- Office recommends production bid from “Raven’s Nest”.
- ~$2000 for production of audio program.
- Office recommends production bid from “Raven’s Nest”.
- Have 3 bids for duplication & packaging through one of the studios.
- Discussion regarding market share. Bid quantity seems excessive.
- Big book on tape annual sales?
- NA Book on tape annual sales?
- Ask other fellowships for ratio audio vs. print
- Have 3 bids for production.
- Computer network issue deferred.
- Subcommittee reports system is specified as per WSBT request, but spec needs to be submitted to vendors.
- Kevin asks to withdraw his tabled motion regarding Canadian-content literature pricing in US funds. Agreed.
- Report given on web commerce site. Need more information on shopping cart software.

OFFICER REPORTS:
Chair:
- CAWSO is 15 years old 7/25/99
- Went through many file boxes to prepare information packets for Conference.
- Next meetings: 8/5, 8/12 & 8/26
- 8/12: final referrals and reports
- 8/26: budget
Vice Chair:
Request that CAWS99 ship computers back ASAP – we need them well before Conference.
WSC Conference Committee: have bids for conference equipment. Will submit 8/5.
Treasurer:
- Quickbooks 99 installed and set up.
- Will baseline new system with July 1, 1999 balances.
- Need to reassess 1999-2000 budget for office salary.
- Hard to find competent office help at current pay scale.
- Sent CAWS2000 new copy of QuickBooks Pro 99.
- Finance committee for budget 2000-2001 to meet.
Secretary:
- Met with Scott and formulated office computer network specifications.
- Determined to buy 3 computers from national vendor directly and supply these systems to network vendor.
- Developed detailed network requirements
- Developed detailed support requirements.
Director-At-Large:
- Helped Scott delve through records and select portions for Conference history files.
- Attended L.A. “Love & Service” seminar and discussed NewsGram.
- NewsGram late. Done in two weeks.
World Service Trustee:
- CAWS2000: reviewing changes to hotel contract.
- Meeting with WSC conference committee.
- WSC Conference Committee chair resigned.
- Kevin F is acting chair.
- Jay S is “Conference Coordinator.”
- Committee secretary resigned.
- Robin C, acting secretary.
- WSC Conference Committee chair resigned.
- Obtained Office Board hotel requirements for Conference.

- Spoke to CAWS2000 chair regarding childcare.
- Spoke with CAWS2000 chair regarding online registration liability issues. May have been unclear, and asked Burton to discuss with John Searce directly.
Pacific South Trustee:
Referrals for Conference being readied
World Service Office Trustee:
Conference call on Sunday. Need to set time for WSOB to meet Trustees.
Office Manager:

- Net revenue ~$44,000
- Need to close “C&B Trust” account and move to reserve.

NEW BUSINESS:
Executive Session at 10:03pm.
Executive session ends at 10:10pm.
- Area sales of literature to clinics:
- Referred to Trustees for guidance.
- University of Maine library service: request to use CAWS web material in classes. Materials would be copied and resold to students. Tabled, with request to office to follow up with questions.
- Suggested caution to Fellowship regarding Storybook in electronic format. Tabled.
