Treasurer: Money market year-end report submitted. Year-end finanical statements are in progress, one bank account statement pending. QuickBooks database conversion completed, and in use. Some fine-tuning still needed.
- WSOT asks about last two transfers both being earmarked, in part, for the same Trustee expenses. Treasurer will provide documentation.
- WSOT asks about rumoured furniture purchases from transferred funds. Patty explained that the items were “used” and essentially donated, with a token amount being paid since they came from outside the Fellowship.
- Office policy is that expenses over $300 get WSOB approval.
- Office practice is that all expenses over $100 must be paid by check.
- Credit card company reporting still slow.
Director-At-Large: Received NewsGram material. Will meet next week with Patty regarding layout process. DAL will get assistance with editing from non-board CA member.

CAWS2004: Patty reports on possible out-sourcing of registration and memorabilia sales.
NEW BUSINESS:
Hotel liaison: Motion: (Kevin/John) That WSO honor the 2002 Host committee group conscience and pay the 2002 hotel liaison’s hotel bill.
- For: Liaison did a lot of work, more than some members of WSO board, who were compensated.
- Against: Liaison not among list of those who are to be compensated, and allowing this would open the door to similar requests in the future.
- Outside of budget and guidelines.
- Not a comp’ed room.
- Motion to limit debate: (Mark/Mike). Fails.
- Motion to table: (Elizabeth/John). Passes. Tabled
- WST will contact 2002 host committee to discuss matters further.
Montreal convention logo: Motion: (Kevin/Mark) Refer Montreal “eye” CA logo to WSBT to review for trademark issues.
- Trustee members feel that this is not a Trustee issue, and that the WSOB should handle it.
- Withdrawn.
Motion: (Elizabeth/Mark) That the Montreal (eye) logo, as beautiful as it is, is a trademark violation as per page 1.9 of the WSM, and must be revised. Revised logo must be approved by WSO before use.
- Trademark issue revolves around partial use of trademarked logo. Either a full trademark must be used, or it must be revised not to resemble the CA logo.
- Passes.
Motion to adjourn (Kevin/Mark)
Next Meeting: July 25, 2002
Respectfully Submitted
Kevin Murphy,
WSOB Secretary
