- Committees have received transcripts
- Manuals still need to be updated – this usually takes 2-3 months
- Motion: (Earl/Mark): Make delegate mailing from office.
- This mailing will explain that normal mailing is delayed, but will include flyers and trustee minutes.
- Passes
- Will upgrade phone referral system
- Current system is not compatible with modern Windows OS
- Kevin will set up.
- Preparing to change chip design to include exact trademarked logo.
- Need to check design against conference transcript.
- May have sales tax bill for shipping/handling in Calif.
- Needed to cover member’s unpaid customs bill of C$44 for book order.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Conference: WSOB members will review Conference 2003 budget.
CAWS2003:
- Room night guarantee a problem, committee dealing with it.
- Question from WSOB member regarding Workshop selection, judged host committee prerogative.
- Discussion of requested CAWS2003 budget cuts. Now estimated savings of $7000.
- Pre-convention fundraisers not on schedule yet.
MOTION TO SUSPEND RULES TO EXTEND FOR TIME. Passes
MOTION TO EXTEND TIME TO CONSIDER WSOB CONVENTION EXPENSES. Passes.
Motion: (Elizabeth/Patty): Restrict reimbursed travel by WSOB to CAWS2003 to airfare and per diem for each member, plus cost of ½ room for Office Manager, Treasurer and WSOB Chair.
- Probable cost of $4500.
- Note that Office Manager attendance at Convention is required compensation, as this staff member is required to attend Convention.
- Question: Are we cutting enough?
- Question: Is this fair to members with more limited means? Some may not be able to attend even with airfare covered.
