READ MINUTES: from 12/9/93 Open Board. Changes made (1993 to 1994. Sylvia to Sylvie. Editing costs to Book expenses. “H&I referred to Trustee meeting” removed). Approved with revisions.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

H& I — Lee A. reported that meeting was successful. Delegates in attendance and delegates conferred with via phone (4 or 5 of 6 Area delegates) unanimously voted to remove names from H&I pamphlet.

Public Information — requested box of books to be sent to national figures (tabled to new business).

Trustee Report — no report

World Service Office Computer —no report

Unity Outreach — no report

Literature, Chips, & Format — no report

Finance Conference — no report

(Bill Z. asked Chair to suspend rules so that pamphlets could be dealt with first, Chair suspended rules.)

PAMPHLETS

Discussion of WSC motions affecting the right of the WSO to proof literature for spelling, grammar, and consistency. Was agreed that extent of Publications Committee editing had, in rare instances, had exceeded the spiritual nature of the proofing process. Addressed concerns of Trustees who responded to request for review of literature proofing.

Motion: Change book’s version of Who Is An Addict to match current pamphlet format (friendly amendment accepted: with necessary punctuation corrections). Barry seconded. Motion passed.

Read report. Change approval of minutes to minutes of last Board meeting. Get set of minutes to KD on Friday and send them to Board members. KD and Carrie to produce list of corrections and marked pages to he faxed and mailed to Crawfordsville immediately.
