Charles opens session with Serenity Prayer Roll Call

124 votes present. Quorum will be 83 votes.

Randall O’Brien chair of conference committee directs conference to the overhead for the room #’s of the committee breakouts and announces 12 step meeting in room 236.

Randall O’Brien read the statement of purpose for the Conference Committee.

Diane Dick read the statement of purpose for the Public Information Committee.

Rich Leiberman read the statement of purpose for the Convention committee.

Heidi Johnathan read the statement of purpose for Literature chips and format committee.

Jennifer Cole read the statement of purpose for the Structures and By-laws Committee.

Craig Shell read the statement of purpose for the Hospitals and Institutions Committee.

Jeff read the statement of purpose for the Finance committee

Walter read the statement of purpose for the Unity committee

New York – H&I: to put literature in a specific format for rehabs or hospitals that have the second disease of HIV or Methadone

Susan, WSO board director – trustees: past board members of the WSO be eligible to be WSBT Silvia – LC&F: take the free symbol off the Newsgram

WSO & LC&F: make sure that French speaking countries get updated versions of French literature

Anthony Joiner, Michigan – convent.: address the issue of spirituality of conventions and not have CA police guarding the hospitality room

Rick, Columbia – LC&F, Trustees: guidelines relating to the use of hotlines and helplines what is appropriate for referrals etc.

LC&F: get a storybook translated into Spanish

Carmen, Missouri – LC&F: reemphasize again hold top priority to translate literature into Spanish

Francis Benedict – convent.: CA world convention always rotate between 3 geographical areas East, Midwest and West in whatever order.

Mike, Calgary – PI: for national campaigns, look into supplying a PSA paid by world service.

Chris, trustee – Finance & WSO: review the royalties structure of all foreign printed lit.

Kevin Murphy, non-delegate – no vote, LA – WSO: establish a small discount to small areas when they send a current directory with their order

Carrie – LA – S&B: change all references in WS manual from world service office manager to world service manager

LC&F & Unity: Include an updated copy of the current mailing addresses of areas into starter kits to promote unity and ease of communications for new meetings in outside areas.

Unity: how to have CA Europe become a part of our conference & convention

S&B: confirm voting process of regional assemblies and the purpose of this procedure

H&I: guidelines relating to CA in prisons halfway houses.
