OPENING REPORT
C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2006
FINANCE REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
The Finance committee met during the World Service Convention in Houston. We also had limited email and phone conversation through out the year.
We have looked into to ways to increase participation in the CAWS Contribution Program – to alleviate the fears and concerns of members. We also discuss ways to educate the fellowship on fiscal responsibility and the need for increased 7th Tradition Donations so the WSO and WSBOT can operate to their fullest abilities. As per the 11th Concept, “The main responsibility of this body is to see that we do not become money-crippled or go broke. This is the place where money and spiritually DO have to mix….”

REFERRALS THAT WERE WORKED UPON DURING THE YEAR:
The committee is in the process of working on a generic incorporation package and guideline for fundraising.
CLOSING COMMENTS:
The Finance Committee is attempting to find new and fun ways for you to donate money to CAWS. The Contribution Program is an attempt to live in the solution, not in the problem. Please remember, self support begins with me, because I am part of us. We need your support to not only sign up yourself for the program but to personally help spread the word to members of your groups, district, and areas as to the importance of this program. Please sign-up if you have not done so already. The committee welcomes your referrals and we are looking for fresh faces, fresh money, and fresh ideas in the exciting and invigorating field of finance! We are a small but intimate group so come join us as we trudge this road of happy fiscal responsibility.
