UNITY REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS
The Unity committee is active in reaching out to all of our membership through the Unity Link yahoo group. We try to use this group to encourage members to sponsor workshops concerning the traditions and to get involved in picnics, fun walks, campout and parties to promote C.A. Unity. You do not have to actually be on the Unity committee to be a part of the Unity Link. Please let any member of the Unity committee have your email address and we can invite you to join.
As well as the world wide Unity Link we would like to encourage members to actually get involved with the Unity committee. It’s important to stress that you do not have to be a delegate to be involved with our committee all are welcome.
We are always looking at ways of presenting Speed Service Workshops. The most recent workshop was presented at the World Convention in Birmingham in the UK and this was called “The Home Group from Around the World” It’s our view that Unity starts at Group level so understanding how to build and grow strong Home Groups is of vital importance.

I’m happy to say we have a small amount of Tickets available for the Unity luncheon on Friday. We do still need volunteers to help out. So if you want to be of service at the luncheon or if you have a car and are available to give people lifts to and from the park Please make yourself known to the committee. We also need a pickup truck to collect a couple of tables to take to the park.
The Unity committee has organized 12 step meetings before and after business whilst conference is on. These meetings will take place in Hollywood Room. Please come along and participate. A list of meeting times is available on the desk outside.
We are still accepting Artwork submission for CATW. If you have any ideas or artwork you would like to submit please come and see any member of the Unity committee.

We would like to send a special thanks to Luncheon Chair Scott K. who due to bereavement had to step down from his position but he is still a great inspiration to us all, we thank him for all his work during his time on the Unity Committee.

REFERRALS THAT WERE WORKED ON DURING THE YEAR:
There were no referrals to work on through the year.
The Unity committee supplies the News Gram with articles throughout the year.
CLOSING COMMENTS:
I rotate out as Unity chair after this conference, and although I intend to still participate in Unity business, there are a number of positions we need to fill on the Unity committee including chair, vice chair and secretary. If you are not sure which committee you would like to work on, remember it’s our first tradition “Personal recovery depends on CA Unity” We all need Unity and The Unity Committee needs you. We are all practicing unity in our own ways but we need more members to actively participate in the Unity Committee throughout the year. Please jump on board to see what you can get and give to the Unity of our fellowship. The more people we have participating – The greater our diversity – Paradoxically – The stronger We become!
Items I would like to see the Unity Committee work on during conference and throughout the coming year:
To expand the “International Information Request” To look at more ways to keep the Speed Service Workshops interesting and effective. –To expand the Unity Link. –To look at ways of improving the Unity Lunch. — Conference theme for 2013.
