INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
The World Service Conference Convention Committee (WSCCC) would like to start by asking the Conference to help us thank the Pacific South Region for hosting a very successful and also a very entertaining World Service Convention! We greatly appreciate their efforts on behalf of C.A..
Next year we hope you will join us in Las Vegas, where “We Absolutely Insist On Enjoying Life.” We are excited about experiencing the great recovery and weather in southern Nevada. We will be seeing an entertaining presentation from them in our closing reports.
In 2016, Illinois Area has been selected to host the World Service Convention which will be held over the July 4th weekend in Chicago. We ask that you please remind all your members to plan accordingly for the July dates.
After that, we will be traveling to the great state of Washington for the 2017 convention, which will be held in the Seattle Area.
It is this conference’s responsibility to select the host Area for the CAWS 2018 Convention, and guess what; it looks like we are going to be leaving America, once again, to experience worldwide recovery. We have three international bids: Quebec, Sweden and Scotland Areas of Cocaine Anonymous.
-At this time we will ask Quebec Area to come up and present their proposal.
-At this time we will ask C.A. Sweden to come up and present their proposal.
-At this time we will ask C.A. Scotland to come up and present their proposal.
These Areas spent a lot of time and effort to create these presentations. I would like everyone to join me in giving them a big round of applause for their efforts.
During this past year this committee has been meeting monthly to finalize post-conference referrals along with selecting various convention steering committee members as needed. This committee hosted the “Great Exchange” at the 2014 World Convention in Long Beach California. Minutes are available on the back table.
