- TRUSTEE REPORTS
- Andy White – North Pacific North, Chair of the Trustees
The BOT has made a decision at the last conference to fill the TAL position. I’d like to thank the delegates who served on the TEC. We would solicit candidates that had accounting/finance/business experience. We are looking for people who fit that description, so please bring those names forward. The BOT has elected its officers by a selection process. The election will take place tonight. We’ve worked real hard on long-term planning. Trying to look ahead instead of only putting out fires. We’ve had a forum at the last three CAWS conventions that include members of C.A. to participate in. Let people know that when they attend those world conventions, that they are welcome to participate in that. When I arrived as a Trustee, there was a feeling of, “us and them.” We’ve worked real hard to improve that. I think a lot of that has gone away. There was also some friction between the BOT and the WSOB, and I think that some of that friction is actually a healthy thing. It has been my experience that the two boards have worked real well together. I’ve never worked with a group of people before that have worked so hard for something that they love so much.
