C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2022

CAWSC UNITY COMMITTEE REPORT

INTRODUCTION AND COMMENTS:

Greetings from your 2021-2022 World Service Unity Committee. We welcome all who have travelled near and far to be here with us in service and hope you are all doing well.

The Unity Committee Statement of Purpose is to enhance our communication and global outreach among the diverse elements within our fellowship in the interest of carrying the C.A. message and to promote C.A. unity.

This year your World Service Unity Committee worked diligently on updating the Unity Guidelines. We found the guidelines to be quite outdated and missing necessary helpful information. We also updated the Celebrate Around the World (CATW) NewsGram posting and the CATW artwork and logo submission flyer. A new outreach flyer inviting groups around the world to email us with questions and/or concerns was created for distribution. Committee members posted the flyers on their websites and members submitted CATW artwork as well as asked questions on how to start a unity committee in their local area and host unity events. A liaison position was produced to manage all incoming emails and the qualifications and duties for that position has been added to the guidelines. Several of us attended the World Service Convention in Austin, Texas, and assisted with the well thought out and planned M.A.S.H / Route Sign Event. It was such a great turn out that they could not display all the signs created all at once. Unity also hosted a Robert Rules of Order workshop, sponsored by CA New York, and interactively led by our former World Service Conference Chair Trevor S. That event was also a huge success. We also created unity chair, sub- chair, and meeting agenda report templates and uploaded them to the BOX for future reference.

Finally, we met with the conference committee to offer our services after discovering we would not be able to have our Unity Breakfast Speaker Event and came up with successful cohesive solutions. We would like to thank our outgoing trustees and delegates for their time and service and wish them all the best. A special thanks to George Mooney, Outgoing Atlantic North Regional Trustee, who oversaw the Unity Committee for the last three years that I’ve been a member and provided support and guidance to bring us to where we are at today.
