OPENING REPORT C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2014
FINANCE COMMITTEE REPORT
INTRODUCTIONS AND OPENING COMMENTS:
The WSC Finance Committee met at the World Service Convention in Long Beach. We worked closely with the WSOB Treasurer and our Trustee. We are still working on a referral addressing on-line banking internationally. We will also be working on bringing the Finance Guidelines up to international level. We’d appreciate members of the European and Canadian Fellowships to join us in this endeavor. Budgets are being addressed and will undoubtedly be revised during the 2014 Conference. CAWS has had its fourth successful event in a row. We hope to have a

continued success with the CAWS 2015 event. We have carefully reviewed the budget for the 2014-2015 year and will need to raise revenue to operate at current levels.

REFERRALS THAT WERE WORKED ON DURING THE YEAR:
Although we passed referral #6515 for online banking for the USA, we are, as mentioned previously, continuing to work on International On-line banking guidelines. We will also continue to work on promoting the current fundraising efforts of the WSO while looking to develop new ones.
CLOSING COMMENTS:
The Finance Committee is looking forward to a productive WSC 2014. If you should have any questions relating to the work performed by our committee, please feel free to ask. On the other hand, should you have any ideas or insight on ways we could further our efforts in building the financial base of our Fellowship to better support our efforts in carrying our message of Hope, then we “hope” that you will consider joining our committee! Last year in this committee’s opening report it was stated that “What we are, is the committee charged with keeping the life blood in our Fellowship.” I believe the “life blood of our Fellowship” is the message of “Hope” to which I referred. Therefore I see our committee as being charged with the responsibility of assuring that the Fellowship that the monies they donate or spend at our events, that as a self-supporting organization, those monies are being allocated wisely to insure the continued growth and unity of our Fellowship. Again, if any of you are looking for an AWESOME committee to

utilize your skills and make an impact in the continuing growth of our Fellowship, we hope you will join us in Finance. I’m certain you won’t be disappointed, I know I haven’t been. I find in fact, I’ve been blessed.
