Jay F – Hi! Welcome everybody, in the middle of the night we sent y’all some love. All of the Day 1 and Day 2 minutes are in the folder 2018 Minutes & Summary of Minutes. There is a new folder, 2018 Closing Reports. All the closing reports we received are there, 9 of 11. Most everything is there. There is a Public Information sub-file with all their information. Tonight at 6pm prompt is the Love and Service dinner. We only receive an hour and a half dinner break tonight, so it’s a pasta bar with very spiritual meatballs, come check them out. Starbucks will be open until 8pm, in case you need to be caffeinated for the session. Come see us for copies, thanks for letting me serve.
Trevor S — First up we have the Archives Committee

CLOSING REPORT C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2018
ARCHIVE COMMITTEE REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS
Opening Comments
The history of Cocaine Anonymous is a vital and informative resource. We need always acknowledge our background in order to secure our collective future. C.A.’s historical record helps us to sift through our day-to-day experience in recovery and reach back for the shared experience of the past.

By sorting the myth from the facts we can ensure, in our growing Fellowship that C.A.’s message of recovery, unity and service remains vital and efficacious to the ever important newcomer seeking the needed Hope, Faith and Courage given so generously in Cocaine Anonymous.
Recently the Archive Committee launched a C.A. Virtual Museum website – https://cawsarchives.org.
The purpose of this “C.A. virtual museum” is to highlight the legacy of Cocaine Anonymous by showcasing iconic C.A. objects from around the world and their represented C.A. Areas.
The C.A. Virtual Museum will provide C.A. members with greater access to their collective history, thus facilitating those important “Remember When” memories of Area events, conferences, conventions making us all feel a part of something special, of something greater than ourselves and the part we all play in C.A.’s legacy.

REFERRALS OR ITEMS TABLED UNTIL NEXT YEAR; AND ITEMS THE COMMITTEE WILL CONTINUE WORKING ON THROUGH THE YEAR
ARCH 2016-1. That the Unity committee compile a file of “Celebrate Around the World” logos (from the first CATW event to the present) and CAWS Conference themes for use by the Archive Committee.
We will be working on this throughout the Post Conference period.
ARCH 2016-2. Please create an online archive of World Service Convention shares and workshops accessible through the world website for listening and download.

Archives 2017-1. From Susan B. On Line Service Area (In-Conference): That the Archive Committee create a catalog of items available to travel to Regional and World Conventions, along with an order form. This would require the creation of a Duplicate Archive, with items numbered literally, perhaps with a bar code, for easy tracking and identification. I believe that these items could be viewed and ordered in an online catalog format which would automatically create a printable manifest for ease of to and from fulfillment. If you wanted to get really automated, there might be a way to calculate shipping and handling! Only the best possible examples of original items should appear in the Master Archive.
We will be working on this throughout the Post Conference period.
REFERRALS OR ITEMS REFERRED TO OTHER COMMITTEES; WORLD SERVICE OFFICE, OR BOARD OF TRUSTEES
NONE.
REFERRALS THAT DID NOT RESULT IN MOTIONS

ARCH 2016-4. That the Committee work with the WSO and Convention Committee to determine the best way to reproduce or duplicate the “flip books” for use at CAWS Conventions. Options to be considered are to duplicate “hard copies” of the flip books for purchase as needed or create interactive electronic version for members peruse at computers.
We have system for reproducing and duplicating the Archive “Flip Books” which will be available for purchase at the World Service office.

CLOSING COMMENTS
We are continuing our work of collecting, preserving and cataloging the archive repository at the World Service Office. In addition, we have several ongoing projects including:
- Building a searchable database of all Conference, WSBT and WSOB minutes (1982 to present).
- Conducting audio interviews with our C.A. pioneers and transcribing those audio conversations into text for the future possibility of C.A. booklet of “Remember When” stories.
- Expanding the content of the virtual museum.
- Contacting C.A. Area Archive Chairs and Archivists from around the world to assist and support them in their archival efforts.
Lastly, it is our belief that the engagement of the C.A. fellowship in the history of C.A. will have long-lasting benefits for Cocaine Anonymous as a whole, such as increased C.A. enthusiasm, reinforced C.A. identity, higher Member retention, and greater participation of our Members in all things C.A. related, AND I’m for that how about you.
Respectfully, Your Trusted Servant
Cameron F, World Archive Chair

Trevor S – Friendly reminder for any questions, please line up at the mic, you do not need to be recognized.
Wade S – Thanks to Cameron and Archives Committee for the work; simple question, could you outline briefly the concern for anonymity breaks?
Cameron F – We rigorously apply traditions to our inputted information. The on-line archive is a collection, it’s really just images, or items, and t-shirts from the areas.
Rose J – Question on 2016-1, stated collecting Celebrate Around the World artwork, are you also collecting items from before, when the event was titled Dance around the World?
Cameron F – Yes, we are pulling it all together, it is a little more daunting than the convention memorabilia to find and gather. We are continuing to work on that.
John R – I have a stack of documents from CA NY 1984 convention.
Trevor S – Seeing no more questions for Archives. Thank the committee.
