C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2023

UNITY COMMITTEE REPORT

INTRODUCTION AND COMMENTS:

Hello family. The 2022-2023 C. A. World Service Unity Committee welcomes all who have travelled near and far, to be here with us in the fellowship of service. We hope you are all doing well.

Our statement of purpose is to enhance our communication and global outreach among the diverse elements within our fellowship in the interest of carrying the C. A. message and promote C. A. Unity.

This year the Unity Breakfast Committee worked on bringing back the Unity Breakfast event

which was missed by many last year. Our theme is Unity 4 Life! We hope it’s enjoyable and creates an environment of love and enthusiasm as we embrace the business of the fellowship.

We distributed our new outreach flyers and encouraged delegates to spread the word that we are here to be of service to their groups as well. The flyer also went out via delegate mailing and we received many emails; mostly requests for the CATW artwork, some for workshops and others for meetings. There were also questions about how to start a meeting and how to obtain starter kits. These questions and many more were addressed by our Unity Liaison and the group.

The Atlanta Convention was a blast! They have had several different unity events of which we were able to be of service. We had so much fun.

We connected with Christos, Chair of Unity for the 2024 Holland Convention, and we are looking forward to planning an amazing event for 2024. Finally we coming into this conference with several referrals awaiting us and we are eager to get started. Thank you for letting me be of service.

To urge and work with C.A. Area/Regional Conventions and events to offer a virtual presence for speaker meetings and workshops to addicts who still suffer. There are many of our fellows that have no way of participating in C.A. at all without the benefit of online/virtual platforms. We should aim to be inclusive wherever possible. Thank you!

Please could the Unity committee consider adopting in the unity guidelines a liaison for the European Region to support the growth of the European Region?

a. Functions as a WSC Unity chair to the European Region, and support the growth of the European Region.

b. Create sub-committees and appoints their chair for the European Region c. Proposes budget for Unity in the European Region.

Creating the above ´´a, b and c ´´ will further enable growth of CA in Europe simpler to that

I want to thank my committee for their faithfulness in showing up throughout this year. We will always remain unified thanks to the efforts of members such as yourselves.
