INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
The World Service Conference Convention Committee (WSCCC) would like to start by asking the Conference to help thank the CAWS 2018 Committee and the WSOB for hosting a very successful World Service Convention in Montreal!!!!! We greatly appreciate their efforts on behalf of C.A.
CAWS 2019 grab your passport, because we are traveling to the European region to the beautiful city of Stockholm Sweden. This will be the first CAWS Convention that will be held in non-English speaking country. What a great opportunity for all of us to experience this culture. You will not want to miss this convention. We will be seeing a great presentation from the committee in our closing report on Saturday.
In 2020, we will be returning to the United States – Keeping it Weird with Austin, Texas ya’ll. The 2020 CAWS planning is well underway. The steering committee is in place. The hotel has been selected and the contract signed. Great work Austin.
In 2021, we will be going to New York, New York – Everyone get excited to head to the Big Apple!!!!! Steering committee has been selected and has been meeting regularly. This convention is one you won’t want to miss.

We have two bids for the CAWS 2022: Atlanta, Georgia and Amsterdam, Netherlands. Both areas will present their bids on Saturday. You will be hearing about the great possibilities from these two areas throughout the conference week.
Don’t miss the meet and greet ice cream social “The Scoop” Friday night 9:30-10:30pm in the foyer just outside the Conference main ball room. This will be an opportunity for the two biding areas for CAWS 2022, to hand out swag and talk about their amazing cities. There will also be representation from the next three CAWS host areas.
During this past year the Convention Committee has been busy working on voting in the steering committee for New York and Austin Texas. While on our monthly conference calls we worked to stay on top of any convention related issues. I would like to thank the members for their diligent work in this process. We also hosted “The Great Exchange” at CAWS this year and I’d like to thank everyone who participated. The minutes will be available on the Box for those that would like to see what we had accomplished at this meeting.
