MINUTES OF MAY 10, 1990
Attendance: Helen H. , Pam K. , Mary C., Bill Z., Bunny B., Bob C., David C., Ray G.
Meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm with the Serenity Prayer.
Mary read the Ninth Tradition.
Bunny read the minutes for the April 12, 1990 meeting with corrections. Motion was made to accept the minutes with corrections. Seconded and passed.
TREASURER’S REPORT – MARY C.
Submitted report statement April and May 1990. Bob suggested that perhaps there should be a proposal that if an area has an event should not some monies be donated to World Service, and should this go to the conference. This needs clarification – there was discussion at length.
The Chair of the Phoenix Intra-Group called Mary C. and went over financial statements. Mary and Bob attended Chicago ASC and shared with Chicago what was going on in L.A.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
LONER’S -PAM K.
Pam has gotten feedback that people have not received loner’s sponsors letter.
Pam would like to coordinate mailing from her home, has asked Mary for sponsor loner list. There were letters from loners and loner sponsors. Pam is trying to coordinate the mailing list.

NEWSGRAM – BILL Z.
The copy was received by the graphics person and should be finished by May 11, or the following Monday, May 14th. How should it be printed? Helen and Bill will stress to Greg that the Connection needs to be done by the Phoenix Convention. WSO is taking approximately 1,000 to the convention.
DIRECTORY COMMITTEE – DAVID C.
David is working very hard to get the directory ready in time for the convention.
The corrected logo for the cover arrived and Richard W. will be using a glossy cover. Bill commended David on his work.
OLD BUSINESS
- How much literature will be going to the convention? Approximately 300 of each piece of literature will go and 50 of each of metal chips. Helen spoke to Burton and the hotel bill will be sent on a net 30 day billing cycle. Helen asked for bill from the Trustess, there will be a room from WSO and we will need to give time for the WSO room (for hospitality). There needs to be clarification of time frames.
- Order form for literature only will be ready on May 11th.
- Scrolls: there is someone in Chicago who is help Mary.
- Insurance for special events and conferences – there is a binder for policy with million dollar coverage (see attached).
- Spanish translations: subject tabled.
- French chips: having trouble getting a response.
- Conference Budgets: Received a donation of $200.00 towards personal from a member of the fellowship. Also, a $100.00 donation from Inland Empire to support PR firm, and Inland Empire enclosed a letter with their donation.
- Trustee suggestions: Helen handed out suggestions for organization of administrative functions (see attached).
NEW BUSINESS
A) Bob is finishing a letter that will go out to delegates regarding PR, he is asking for all current articles that have something pertaining to CA.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 pm with the Lord’s Prayer.
