Eric W. ‘s motion that, A 15% RAISE BE GIVEN TO THE CURRENT FULL-TIME OFFICE WORKER AT THE WORLD SERVICE OFFICE was passed.
Eric W.’s motion that, THE WORLD SERVICE OFFICE EMPLOY AN ADDITIONAL EMPLOYEE AT 5 DOLLARS PER HOUR FOR 40 HOURS A WEEK was passed.
Don G.’s motion to, SUSPEND THE RULES TO HEAR ALL OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEES PROPOSED MOTIONS was passed.
Don M. read and briefly explained the Finance Committee’s remaining motions.
4. The WSO obtain property and liability insurance for WSO.
5. There be limit of 50 dollars on personal checks. For purchases above this amount, only a money order, certified check or cashier’s check will be accepted.
6. That local areas be allowed to reprint Conference-approved copyrighted literature with their local area identification and phone number, providing that 50 percent of their net proceeds or a minimum of five cents apiece from these sales be contributed to WSO, and that local tax laws are adhered to.
7. That WSO be allowed to set quantity price breaks for metal chips.
8. That WSO be directed to proceed with production of metal chips from six to ten years, as soon as financially feasible.
9. That Public Information cassettes be sold as follows, video cassetes, first tape of each size, customized with local phone numbers, 75 dollars each; double cassettes of the same size for 25 dollars each; audio cassettes with 5 PI messages, 5 dollars.
10. That the piece of literature entitled, “23 Questions” be put in pamphlet form compatible to our existing literature and sold at the same price as existing pamphlets.
11. That seed money for the World Services Convention, to held in Chicago, be approved in the amount of $5,000; $2,500 to be made available immediately, and the balance, if required, on January 1st, 1988.
12. That C.A.-affiliated groups grossing more that $1,000 on WSO supported events consider donating at least 50 percent of the net proceeds from the event to WSO.
13. That we accept the suggested guidelines as they are going to be presented to you at this time.
14. That we approve a budget of $350 for the Conference Hospital and Institution Committee.
15. That we approve a budget of $500 for the Conference Finance Committee.
16. That we limit the maximum annual contribution by individual C.A. members to $2500, the same limit to apply on a one-time-only basis for death bequeaths.
