Robby S. – IT: introduced members
Over the last 2 years our small but dedicated committee has met twice a month to continue work on previous referrals including the database, meeting finder and an application for the fellowship. We have also approved a number of sites for linking to the CA.org website and continued to support committees with guidance where needed. We have created a PI liaison position to bring share information and work in cooperation as many of the PI initiatives overlap our committee. Over the next year we hope to strengthen the interactions with the other World service committees to be able to continue to grow together in this new technological era. We have had members serve on the long-term Planning committee to learn what is needed for the future of the fellowship and how we can best support the Future of C.A.
We have over the last 4 years worked on a database that would hold the data collected for meetings to feed into a meeting finder plug in, in preparation for launching a CA App and as we have learned more about what has worked. With a few Areas beta testing the plug in we have looked for the best way to gather the information needed from the over 8000+ meetings around the World. In the last 2 years we have done multiple calls out to the fellowship to try and gain new members with Front or Back-end experience but have not had much luck. With 2 coders the process has been quite a task to accomplish in their spare time. In the last few months, we have made some progress as we have been able to gain access to open-source coding that may save the fellowship time and money and will be meeting in the next month to discuss the capabilities.

We hope to have a beta version ready for the fellowship to start inputting their meeting information by World Convention of 2022, with a full version to follow. Please send the information for your Area webmaster and/or IT chair in your quarterly reports to the trustees and we will advise the best way for the meeting data to be input.
I’d like to introduction our new incoming chair: Wesley B.
The WSCIT Committee would once again like to thank the Fellowship for allowing us to serve over the extended time between conferences. We look forward to working with all of you in the year to come to help the fellowship move further into the online era and for you to be able to find a meeting near you on a C.A. mobile app soon.

Ty S : Welcome to the Unity Committee 2022. We hope your experience at the C.A. & Love & Service & Unity Dinner was immensely enjoyable! We as a Committee wanted to take a moment to thank Tom P for his service to us throughout the year along with being our speaker following the dinner.
Our efforts over the year were successful in obtaining artwork submissions for the 2023 CATW art work. Our committee was able to choose from three submissions and modify artwork to be compliant with our CA WSM requirements for use of the trademarks on our logo. Our Committee was able to go through rotation of Committee Officers and subcommittee chair to begin the discussions of what is to come in the upcoming year.

Ty S.: The Unity Committee is rich with members who are passionate and enthusiastic about addicts around the world finding a sense of belonging within the principles so greatly cherished within our fellowship. Our Committee has been emphatic about the fact we have been able to welcome several members into the Committee who had not previously been involved in any service at the World level. Being excited by many of the things going on throughout the world in Cocaine Anonymous, our Committee will be continuing to seek to share the love and beauty of this fellowship with those who have yet to find it.
If you have ideas to help the Unity Committee carry the C.A. message and promote C.A. unity, come join us in this endeavour. Please share our Unity email with your respective Areas. Unity@CA.org

Ed S.: We have been blessed with a dedicated and enthusiastic group of trusted servants. Passionate individuals from around the world, interested in growing our fellowship one newcomer at a time. New members and new ideas have been brought forth, to help us better improve the efforts of H & I around the world. The discussions made in session and planned for the next year are listed within each Sub-Committees goals.

Kevin M.: I’m not comfortable with telling people to turn their video off to protect their anonymity. We have many meetings online and we haven’t had to tell individuals to shut their video off.

Ed S.: It can be and has been in the past but It’s really up to the facility.
Barbara L.: I’m in favour of the motion, because the facility that I went to didn’t want their clients’ anonymity broken. It was also a pride situation and while some facilities are different the clients don’t want their faces to be seen. Those bringing in the meeting can show their faces.

Judd W.: I need to point out that this is a violation of the HIPPA process for people in the facility. You don’t have the option of turning the video on.

Jenn S.: Most of my points have been made, but I wanted to let you know that the HIPPA rule doesn’t apply in Canada.

Susan B.: I’m against the motion to refer back to the committee, H&I is going to happen online in open and closed meetings, and to add the disclaimer that it be added, it shouldn’t take another year for this to come to the floor.

Robby S.: I’d like to make a 5th concept statement: there should be caution to the floor as we give guidance to the fellowship and this will set precedent with other formats. If we’re not covering ourselves with the technologies being used this is just a slight modernity being used.
Ed S.: Thank you to all who have made efforts and sacrifices on behalf of our amazing fellowship. I am reminded often of the how and why service work plays an important role in my life. Just because I won’t be holding a chair position does not mean my work is complete. I will continue to work with these wonderful delegates and members that will be back next year. Many new ideas have been brought to us and these things will take time and much needed action. If you have the love for H & I, please join us on our monthly conference call as we trudge the road of happy destiny and continue to grow spiritually.

Susan B.: I’d like to make a 5th Concept Statement: there’s information that people don’ t really know and it’s going to come up in the PI report,but at the last NADCC, they collected 334 contacts who were interested in online meetings. They want meetings for their clients, to make them wait another year for this to happen isn’t right, we should go ahead and allow this to move forward with the properties by the IT committee.
Trevor S.: Thank you H&I, Archives is up next. Please give me a few minutes. Okay, convention will follow the Archives and we will try to get through as much as the convention committee report tonight.
Archives – Cameron F.: The Archive Committee welcomes both new and returning delegates to the 2021 Archive Committee. Our breakout sessions included a meet and greet with introductions and shares as to why they wanted to be a part of the Archive Committee. We had a slide presentation on “Why have a C.A. Archive” along with an orientation on the projects the Archive Committee is currently working on. We concluded our breakout sessions with a working field trip to the World Service office where we found and scanned early WSOB minutes which will be uploaded the C.A. Documents Library (https://documents.historyofca.org). In

addition, we uploaded well over a 100 photos of various C.A. objects to the C.A. Virtual Museum (https://museum.ca.org) and lastly, we all had an opportunity to explore and examine 3 boxes of documents and 1 large box of C.A. shirts donated to the World Office by C.A.’s early Board member and Trustee, Ray Gr., who recently passed away. All in all, it was a very productive and rewarding start for the 2021 Archive Committee.
Introduced committee members
The Archive Committee is excited about the upcoming Post-Conference Committee projects. We also look forward supporting C.A. Area Archive Chairs and Archivists around the world in their efforts to collect, preserve, catalog and re-present C.A.’s history back to the fellowship to facilitate C.A. identity and thus build C.A. unity, on both a local and global front.

Jason L.: Thanks, Question: In your referrals from 2016 with a request for making recording available on the website, are they going to be accessible or are they already accessible?
Cameron F.: No they are not accessible due to copyright and traditions issues. But we are continuing to archive them and when given permission by the Trustees they will be available.
Jenn S.: Can you please tell me what did the archives committee do during the year?
Cameron F.: We had monthly meetings around the world which is called “for the record” we had Q&A’s, we worked with Henry and Norma Jean and we continue to archive the works. We liaise with the rest of the fellowship. Eric b is also going to be helping us and stepping up with the rest of the fellowship. We’re busy with the virtual museum. 140 odd things have been updated to the museum. We’ve been very busy.

Nathan H..: The World Service Conference Convention Committee (WSCCC) has continued to work on referrals since the 2019 World Service Conference. We have continued to have our monthly calls and work on revisions to the WSCCC Guidelines.
