OFFICE DIRECTOR REPORTS
Director of Operations- Linda –
The office is open using the safety protocols using masks, distancing as well as hand and workplace sanitation. The inventory of merchandise is scheduled for June 25 – 30, 2020 and the office will be closed. The office will be closed from July 1, until July 3rd to observe the holiday.
MOTION: Linda moved the approved check request 2021 in the amount of $1,414.90 the motion was seconded. Motion passes unanimously
CAWS CONVENTION REPORT
CAWS 2021 – Austin – Susan L. – WRS
Highlights: As of last weekend, we are 51.2% to our total room block, 70% to our 70% attrition. While the Hyatt amendment has been executed, we have been working on getting all other contracts revised to reflect the new dates, e.g., Cooper’s BBQ, Cvent, and Longhorn

CAWS 2022 – New York – Alan S Not present-

Highlights: The focus is on getting volunteers for the event.

MOTION: Brenda moved to increase ADP by $39.29 for 90 days to have access to the handbook wizard. Linda seconded the motion.

Highlights – Attended Trustee Quarterly meetings May 16, 17 & 23rd (GtM)
Worked with WSOB Chair and secretary regarding officer reopening schedule, procedures. Next Trustee phone call: July 19, 2020
WST Trustee – Yvette H – Written report submitted Highlight: The 2020 WSC has been cancelled
Working with hotel to establish new dates for our world conventions moving forward.
Trademark updates are in progress.

Highlights: Finance Chair sent a reminder to committee chairs to submit their revised 2020 and 2021 budgets. Kevin requested detailed financials for Trustees next meeting.
Structure & Bylaws – Kevin M.
Highlights: The Service Manual is updated. Committee is working on 2021 conference materials
Convention– Ron D.
Highlight: Susan updates the committee on new dates. Continued challenges with access to the box
Conference – Linda F. and Alesia F.
Highlights: Discussions on SR14 deadline is in progress. The committee is focused on 2021 conference.
Unity– Ron D. WRS
Highlights: The conflict with the WSOB continues. Have requested committee minutes for an updates next month.

Literature, Chips & Formats – Pierre K. WRS
HFC II has been reviewed for the re-design of the cover.
MOTION: Pierre moved to update the artwork for the coverage of the new edition of HFC II. Motion passes unanimously.
Pierre will chair a committee to revise the artwork for HFC volumes I and II to be reviewed by the WSOB at the July 25th meeting
Hospitals & Institutions – Pierre K. WRS
Highlights: Participate on the WSCHI WhatsApp group.
Public Information – WRS
Highlights: Following the approval of the North American Helpline, the committee is at work on the next stage. The committee was grateful the ‘Message to Professional’ pamphlet will be available at no cost! The Drug Courts event went ahead virtually without representation from 12 Step Fellowships. An application to attend 2021 has been made.
IT – Randy M.
Highlights: Working on obtaining the proof of our non-profit status for Goggle.
Archives – Yvette H.

GUEST REPORTS: Misty asked if CA has any liability for members that believe they been infected at a meeting when we re-open the room. Brenda suggested with speak with our insurance booker to get information on how to mitigate this risk. Randy and Linda will follow-up with the booker.

Robert B (Austin 2020/2021 Treasurer) presented the results of his root and branch investigation into World Convention finances over the last 7 years. The conclusion isn’t pretty! The event is costing 18% more while making –8% less year on year.
