Meeting opened at 7:00 with John B. leading us in the WE version of the Serenity Prayer.

OLD BUSINESS:
- KJ/EH Motion to table minutes of Sept 28th for approval until after break. Passd.
- Motion EH/KJ to have the office purchase the Marantz recorder and 2 microphones for the price of $1207.80 including tax and shipping. Passed
- KJ/TP Motion to approve the minutes for September 14th Pass unanimously.
- Discussion on electing a Webmaster by next meeting. John B has started phone interviews. John also forwarded resumes to the board for review and feedback.
- Discussion on the article in the NewsGram advertising the bracelet. It has been decided by the WSOB the will be no advertising in the NewsGram. (discussion resulted in conclusion that we are not in a position at this time to decide)
- Post conference referrals:
Motion KJ/EH #5174 #4982 & #4993 the board will take no actions cite ting the financial guidelines.
- #5234 Motion KJ/WB to have LCF look into the mock-up while WSOB check on the cost. Pass unanimously.
- Reprint policy KJ/WB/JB/HH will bring this to a head within 30 days.
- KJ/HH Motion to table the approval of minutes Sept 28th until next meeting. Motion failed.
- Motion JK/EH to accept minutes as amended for Sept. 28th Passed.

Board Reports:
WSOB reviewed the housekeeping changes to the Chips and Literature order form.
Motion TP/EH to approve the document with the minor changes the board suggested tonight. Hayward made a friendly amendment and it was declined. Motion passes unanimously.
Office Reports:
Robin L. – Office: Written report submitted.
Tom P. – Treasurer: No report submitted. Will submit an updated report next meeting.
John B. – Chair: No written report submitted. Express a concern for the New-Gram basically we want to revise the editor duties and responsibilities and raise the bar on the content side to make the News Gram a higher quality piece for many reasons. Would like to hold off the current New-Gram to upgrade the contents and look.
Howard E. – Secretary: Submitted the following resignation as of 10/12/06. Please accept my resignation from the board effective this date 10-12 2006..I can not longer carry out the duties assigned to me and I regret that I will no longer be able to forfiil my assigned tasks…Thanking you in advance ..i remain Happy Howard …I’ll see you all at a meeting”
Kathy Jo R. – Vice-Chair: Written report submitted. Discussed the idea to purchase a multiple CD recorder for the office to use for mass production of CD’s as an alternative to hard copy mailings.
*Motion EH/TP to extend meeting to wrap-up the agenda. Pass unanimously.
Earl H. – WSOB Trustee: Written Report Submitted. Sent out Board to Board minutes to WSOB members please review and be prepared to vote on next meeting. The 800 line is up and working. Wanted clarification of the changes to the HFC 2 once it went from editor to committee and back to editor.
Hayward H. WS Trustee: Written report submitted. The lease for WSOB office has been accepted for the next 2 years with option for one more year.
Willie B. – Director at Large: Thank the WSOB for the opportunity to serve on the Board.
Teresa N. – Director at Large: Would like to submit a referral to WSC S&B to add guidelines to suggest WSOB members not hold any commitment out side of the WSOB. And added she is glad to be here on the WSOB.
