Stu E. presents the Convention opening report.
OPENING REPORT C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2015
CONVENTION COMMITTEE
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
The purpose of the World Service Convention is to promote enthusiasm and unity within the fellowship of Cocaine Anonymous and financially support World Services’ effort to carry the message to the addict that still suffers.
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
The World Service Conference Convention Committee (WSCCC) would like to start by asking the Conference to help thank the CAWS 2015 committee and the WSOB for hosting a very successful and also a very entertaining World Service Convention in my home town of Las Vegas! Vegas Baby!!! We greatly appreciate their efforts on behalf of C.A.
Next up will be an opportunity to spend some time in “Sweet Home Chicago.” We are looking forward to some great recovery and weather by the lake. We will be seeing a great presentation from them in our closing reports.
Then to follow in 2017, Washington State Area was selected to host the World Service Convention in Seattle.
In 2018 the convention will be hosted by the Quebec Area of Cocaine Anonymous. I hear that the sobriety countdown HAS to be experienced at least once in your life.
We have one bid for the 2019 Convention.
-At this time we will ask the Sweden area to come up and present their video Sweden is back!!!
During this past year the Convention Committee has been busy working on quarterly conference calls to stay on top of any convention related issues and I would like to thank the members for their diligent work in this process. We also hosted “The Great Exchange” at

REFERRALS THAT WERE WORKED ON DURING THE YEAR:
Amazingly this year we had no post-conference referrals. We had one referral that was returned to committee and we will be presenting a motion regarding that referral later in the conference. We also worked on our committee guidelines.
