OPENING REPORT C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2015
H&I COMMITTEE REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
Thank-you to the Committee for staying active throughout the year; also thanks to our Trustee Brian T. and Linda F. for joining our Conference calls and being sources of support to our Committee on a regular basis. I would also like to give a special thanks to the members of our committee that stepped up during the World Convention and volunteered their time at the H&I booth.

In the last year, the H&I Committee kept communication on a monthly basis through Conference calls and through the yahoo group. Throughout the year the committee has provided support to groups wanting to start up the Lifeline in their areas; we answered letters to inmates asking for correspondence with members of C.A; compiled information regarding H+I in the different areas around the world; and continued to promote the submission of stories to the H+I corner of the Newsgram. This Committee has also revised the Guidelines for annual housekeeping changes.
The Outreach committee began compiling information regarding how many panels are taking place around the world and who the H&I chairs are in each area. The purpose for this is to have a network for H&I and a place to send inmate letters after we receive them from the world office. We would like to get the inmates in touch with the areas nearest them to get a connection started before they leave the institution. The Creative writing subcommittee created a flyer to encourage members to send in their experience with H&I; these are to be added to the H&I corner.

CLOSING COMMENTS:
On behalf of the H+I Committee, welcome anyone who is passionate about spreading the message of Cocaine Anonymous to those who are unable to make it to a meeting or even know what we are about. These people are the future of our fellowship and we have a responsibility to inform them of who we are, what C.A has done for us, and where they can find us. I know all of you share the passion we have and encourage you to join us on our committee.
This Conference, we hope to recruit new committee members and receive some referrals. We need your new ideas and suggestions to make H&I as a whole more effective at informing our potential members. We need to let the clients know where to find us when they are ready to leave the institution they are in; many of our potential members lose their way when transitioning from a safe place to the real world. The way we can prevent losing these people is through the use of the Lifeline! The lifeline if you haven’t yet heard is a way to give the inmates or clients contact information so they can be met up with and taken to a meeting by some of our members. We need all of your help in promoting the use of this amazing tool that helps get people into the rooms of C.A.
Many of us came into C.A because of something we heard in an H&I Panel; this has really inspired us to do the same for those who are still out there suffering and alone. This Committee is extremely passionate about H&I; we want as many people as possible to get involved!!! We welcome any suggestions or ideas from the fellowship; your insight can better our services to the H&I committees around the world. All members interested in being a part of the H&I Committee or even if they just want to add some input or be a part of; please come talk to me or any one of our members for more information. Come join us in the Breakout session or simply ask us to add you to the Yahoo group and you are welcome.
Yours in Service,
Adrien H.
