INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS
Opening Comments:
The Archive Committee has been busy fulfilling its mandate to collect, preserve, and catalogC.A.’s history.
This 2019 Conference, the Archive Committee took time out to visit the CAWS Office and see our world repository and conduct some archival work. Sorting through stacks of documents in search of Office Board, Trustee and Conference minutes. Our goal is to create a searchable database of C.A.’s ratified history and make this available to our fellowship. We sifted through 37 years of C.A. history and much to our excitement we were able to locate the missing minutes needed to complete this project. Over the next few weeks these documents will be scanned and then uploaded to our database. At the end of this process the Archive Committee will have archived the entire ratified history of Cocaine Anonymous.

Please continue uploading images of C.A. objects, themes & logos to The C.A. Virtual Museum website –https://museum.ca.org. Showcasing our Area history and how we express our message of “hope, faith and courage” creates lots of “remember whens” for our fellowship and that helps to reinforce our unity, our identity as C.A. members, and, it inspires our members, both young and old in sobriety to keep coming back to Cocaine Anonymous.
Next, we continue the ongoing process of building a historical record of the growth of C.A. Areas around the world. To accomplish this we’ve created an online form for collecting Area Histories. Please submit your Area’s history at:
Also, we have started the process of building a chronological time-line of C.A.’s history. This time-line has been constructed from Conference, WSBT and WSOB minutes, Newsgram publications, and newspaper reprints and spans C.A.’s inception (Nov. 18, 1982) to present day.
Lastly, be sure to look for our “Every Object Has a Story” in future issues the C.A. Newsgram.

REFERRALS THAT RESULTED IN MOTIONS

REFERRALS OR ITEMS TABLED UNTIL NEXT YEAR; AND ITEMS THE COMMITTEE WILL CONTINUE WORKING ON THROUGH THE YEAR
Referral: Archives 2019-01: From Dawn M. CAUK – Please can a record be created of all conference motions passed and adopted by WS conference committee and WSC year? The purpose of which would be to present the history of changes by conf committee in a user friendly format rather than having to search WSC minutes. I wonder if such a project would flow out of the work that archives are currently doing to create a searchable database of WSC minutes. I appreciate that this referral may also need to be considered by the WSC Conference Committee.

We have completed this task with the creation of a password protected, online database for ease of access. Also, we have expanded the scope of the database to include WSBT and WSOB minutes from inception to present day.
ARCH 2016-01. That the Unity committee compile a file of “Celebrate Around the World” logos (from the first CATW event to the present) and CAWS Conference themes for use by the Archive Committee.
We are continuing to work on this throughout the Post-Conference period.
ARCH 2016-02. Please create an online archive of World Service Convention shares and workshops accessible through the world website for listening and download.
We are continuing to work on this throughout the Post-Conference period.
Archives 2017-01 from Susan B. On Line Service Area (In-Conference) That the Archive Committee create a catalog of items available to travel to Regional and World Conventions, along with an order form. This would require the creation of a Duplicate Archive, with items numbered literally,

perhaps with a bar code, for easy tracking and identification. I believe that these items could be viewed and ordered in an online catalog format which would automatically create a printable manifest for ease of to and from fulfillment. If you wanted to get really automated, there might be a way to calculate shipping and handling! Only the best possible examples of original items should appear in the Master Archive.
We are continuing to work on this throughout the Post-Conference period.
REFERRALS OR ITEMS REFERRED TO OTHER COMMITTEES; WORLD SERVICE OFFICE, OR BOARD OF TRUSTEES

CLOSING COMMENTS
It’s a privilege to be of service to Cocaine Anonymous. Contribution to others allows us to take out a little insurance against our slips, and for this, we on the Archive Committee are grateful.
Respectfully Submitted:
Cameron F. (Southern Ontario C.A. Area)

Trevor S. – Any questions for committee? None seen, let us thank the committee.
Alright! We have a little bit of a problem, I don’t have any committee that are ready to go in under an hour, and they are also not keyed up for report. If there are no objections, we will break half an hour early.
There is an objection. We will do a five minute break, and return for an extended session.
Henry A. – Motion to Adjourn.
Seconded. no debate.
