INTRODUCTIONAND OPENING COMMENTS:
What a fantastic year we have had! Along with monthly committee phone calls we created the Proposed Amended 2019 Budget and the

Proposed Draft 2020 Budget which were included in the SR-14 information. We continue to make progress on Consolidated (US and International) Financial Guidelines and are looking forward to the time here to continue with this.
A new item we are looking into as a committee is gathering information on managing hotel contract room blocks as this has been and continues to be a concern for World Conventions. Hopefully we can find useful information to pass on to the Office, Trustees, and Fellowship.
We also are very proud to assist the Office in spreading the word about the Freedom Fund! I’m going to turn the mic over to Paul for just a moment so he can share some information with you on this.

SUMMARY OF COMMITTEE MATTERS WORKED ON THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
The Finance Committee had monthly phone calls, worked on the 2019 and 2020 Budgets, and the possibility of Specialty Coin T-shirts as a fundraising opportunity. Unfortunately, the T-shirt idea created logistical problems and we decided not to pursue them at this time.
SUMMARY OF SR14 MATERIALS SUBMITTED IN 2019 AND WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE COMMITTEE MOTIONS LATER THIS WEEK
The Finance Committee submitted both the Proposed Amended 2019 Budget and the Proposed Draft 2020 Budget. Both of these Budgets will require motions later this week. Please make sure you review them so you can ask questions or share concerns with the conference floor.

CLOSING COMMENTS
Committee Budget requests are due to us by noon on Friday! If you have not personally spoken with me for an exception to this, you may miss your chance to have any budget at all. Please be considerate of our time and realize that we don’t want to work late into the night trying to find available room in the budget any more than you want to work late into the night on your committee. Plus, closing reports are due Friday night and we never want to anger the secretaries!
The Finance Committee is charged with the financial well-being of our Fellowship, which is something that we all take very seriously. However, this doesn’t mean that we don’t like to have fun! If you are looking to learn a new skill, see where your 7th Tradition funds end up, or are simply curious how the finances work for Cocaine Anonymous come and join us!
And remember No Money = No Party, but Mo Money = Mo Party!!

Patrice F – Could you tell me if there is a difference between the World Contribution Fund and the Freedom Fund?
Maya B. – They are the same thing. The World Contribution Fund has been rebranded.
