CLOSING REPORT C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2016 WORLD SERVICE BOARD OF TRUSTEES REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS
Your WSBT would like to extend sincere thanks to all participants at this year’s World Service Conference, and to the entire fellowship for allowing us to be of service, and for your ongoing support. It is truly a pleasure to serve in this capacity.
Your WSBT would like to thank the WSOB for their service and commitment to the fellowship of C.A. We look forward to continuing to work closely with our Office Board and assisting, when requested or required, throughout the upcoming 12 months
We continue to be prudent with Trustee expenditure and came in under budget.
The TEC conducted business and followed the process of electing new Trustees.
We are extremely excited by the upcoming CAWS2017 Convention “Spoonless in Seattle”.
We received referrals at this conference and we will work on these throughout the year.

Please allow Areas to produce and distribute C.A. keyrings, medallions and Books under Royalty Agreement.

In an effort to save money for our fellowship, It would be prudent to cut the trustee quarterly meetings from 4 to 3 in person meetings and maybe 1 skype meeting or conference call meeting.

That once a new Area has been recognised by The World Service Conference that a World Service Manual be provided in the language spoken by that Area.
It has become apparent that new Areas, e.g. Norway, are not provided with a manual in the language that can be understood by their members. Instead of expecting a fledgling fellowship to carry out their own translation I believe it would be extremely helpful if our World Services paid for manuals be translated and provided as quickly as is reasonably possible so that these new members are afforded the same opportunity as most of us have. It is to easy for members to form their own incorrect understanding of our Fellowships service structure and procedures or even be mislead.

This is a referral for the consideration to amend our 11th Tradition.
- Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, television and films.
The amended version would be:
- Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, television, films and internet.
I think it’s important to recognize that when Bill W , wrote the 11th Tradition it was before the widespread use of television, and yet the language of the tradition is flexible enough to cover that form of media. I believe that if the Internet would have existed then, it would have been included in the 11th Tradition as well.
CA will continue to grow and change with the years. The “Principal of Anonymity” must remain our primary and enduring safeguard. This change will ensure that we recognize the ever emerging technology around us and adapt to these changes.

CLOSING COMMENTS
Your WSBT would like to thank you for allowing us to serve you through this conference. Please let it be known that we will be available throughout the year to assist the Fellowship of Cocaine Anonymous in its mission to carry its message to the addict that still suffers. Please contact us at WSBT@ca.org
I came to our conference 10 years ago and left unhappy. I was asked to return as a delegate and I balked. I leave today as a WSBT Chair. I will return as a big ole nothing. Thanks Brian. It has been a honor to serve with amazing people. We started as the six pack. After this conference two

will remain. Thanks to those whose came before me. While it may look like we stand on solid ground we are standing on the shoulders of those who came before. I will walk away with Ira. L. and Jay P. I believe I can safely say that all of us have been honored to serve a truly international fellowship. I am proof that one who came to scoff can remain to pray and serve.
In Love, Service and Gratitude
