INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS
Opening Comments
Welcome to the Unity Committee 2016. Our statement of purpose is to enhance our communication and global outreach among the diverse elements within our fellowship in the interest of carrying the C.A. message and to promote C.A. unity, which is exactly what we intend to do. . We have been fired up and recommitted to realizing this vision through creating enthusiasm within Cocaine Anonymous World Service. You may have met some of the new, excited members of the unity committee at the unity breakfast on Friday morning! Did you all feel welcomed? (WOOOOO) We hope you all enjoyed the fellowship that was shared and hearing our wonderful speaker, Duane M.
We have the most talented people in Cocaine Anonymous and regrettably you must have all been busy this year because we didn’t receive any submissions for Celebrate Around the World

artwork!! But that’s ok because we came together as a committee and were able to brainstorm and stretch our talents to come up with a draft for the logo. Luckily we were able to recruit the assistance of a committed CA member and his limited graphic designing knowledge. Please, when you receive the request for submissions for art work, share with us your ideas and talents.
We realize we’ve set a new bar for ourselves. We’ve set the bar high, but to show you who we are, this short unity video was made in a day and a half for your viewing pleasure. Please enjoy…

CLOSING COMMENTS
The Unity Committee is on fire. Our new committee is passionate about Unity and their enthusiasm is infectious. I’m so honored to be a part of this kick ass committee!! I want to thank all the members of the Unity Committee for their hard work and dedication to this important cause. They all worked tirelessly and were full of ideas for getting the message of Unity to the fellowship. I want to thank our Trustee Suzanne for all her love and patience and Alesia our Director at Large for her support and for having our backs. Watch out C.A., Unity is back!! We look forward to sharing with you our ideas in the coming year and are excited to see you all in 2017.

Chris J. – Last year, you were working on the committee guidlelines. I don’t see anything about that in the report.
Joni E. – We have incorporated all changes and will be issuing updated guidelines shortly
Susan B. – Would you consider making an item that celebrates the theme of the Conference each year?
Joni E. – There are shirts this year. We will consider this in the future.
Gary M. – In our area, we are struggling to create a unity committee. Who would you suggest we have put on a Celebrate Around the World event?
Dawn M. – We have districts in our UK Area put on the CAtW event.
Rose J. – Concerning that last comment, isn’t the CAtW event we have in our Area to raise funds to send the delegates to Conference which helps with unity? Joni E. – Yes
Jim S. – We talked about having a digital link up for a CAtW event to help with Unity? Would you consider doing something like that?
Joni E. – Yes, we are looking into that and will be in contact with you.
