During the last year the LCF Committee has been in session throughout the year via online email group meetings and a series of telephone conference calls. The Storybook Subcommittee has functioned in a similar way. Every region of CA has been represented through this and members include delegates from the United Kingdom, Canada and America.

In the LCF final report continuing timelines for works in progress will be presented. A tentative schedule for next year’s conference calls and work deadlines will also be included.
Those committee members who have remained active throughout the year have been excellent. They have given extensive time and service in reading, writing and reviewing the works in progress as well as facilitating minutes and documentation of committee work. Our sub-committee chair has also provided organization and planning to facilitate the storybook sub-committee. Thanks to all of them and those dedicated people who choose to serve LCF in any capacity.
WE WELCOME YOUR INPUT. Please pass forward all input regarding any LCF pieces to our committee as soon as possible, prior to the committee breakout sessions if possible, so that LCF can address each and every comment. Please ask your questions. Please feel free and welcome to join and participate in this committee.

31st August – September 5th 2004 – CAWS Conference 2004
- Literature projects in progress assigned to sub-committees

- Sherri Hoffman uploads:
- Good New flyer requesting stories for the Storybook
- Quiet The Mind flyer asking for contributions to the Meditation Book
- Transfer And Assignments Of All Rights To Stories Document

- The deadline for stories to be submitted to be considered for Hope Faith & Courage Volume II.
10th January 2005
- LCF conference call. Cynthia suggests we revamp the Quiet The Mind flyer to make it more specific and that all material must be original. She also asks if we need a subcommittee to deal with the Mediation Book.

- Storybook telephone conference call. Susan tells us we have received at least 30 new stories and three stories/shares on CDs. So we now have 50 plus stories, including 20 previously selected, to read and evaluate according to a tally sheet and checklist.
26th January 2005
- Dave McQuaig gets the Database going which has a list of LCF members, their contact details and assignments.
13th February 2005
- Storybook telephone conference call. The committee voted on the suitability of 32 new stories. The stories accepted are distributed among Storybook committee members for initial editing.
17th April 2005
- LCF telephone conference call. Discussion about and voting on edited stories. Suggestion that story blurbs and titles should be posted online for consideration so we can re-review stories for consideration.
20th March 2005
- Storybook telephone conference call. Edits to various stories discussed. In terms of stories previously set aside everyone should post suggestions about which ones they would like to see in the book.
7th May 2005
- LCF telephone conference call. This included a long discussion about various edits and tidying up done by LCF members to stories.
10th May 2005
- Rick H delivers revisions (via email) to LCF of two documents: We Can Recover/And All Other Mind-Altering Substances.
15th May 2005
- LCF conference call. Members are assigned various stories to come up with titles and blurbs for. There is a discussion about candidates we can recommend to the WSOB who are professional editors.
June 10th 2005 – SR14 submission
- Approved materials delivered to WSO for distribution in July delegate mailing to meet SR14
14th June 2005
- World Service Board of Trustees approve the revised We Can Recover/And All Other Mind-Altering Substances documents

- Cynthia C, the Pacific North Trustee, tell us that the 16 Storybook stories before the LCF have been approved. However, looking at points that may affect CA as a whole – as per point 7 of the 12 Point Literature Process – the Trustees raise the topic of profanity in the stories. They also suggest trade names in the stories may need to be cut out.
