Convention Committee Report
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
During the year the Conference Convention Committee held one in-person meeting at the World Convention in Chicago, completed the 2003 Guidelines, selected the steering committee for the 2005 Tennessee Convention, worked on several tabled referrals and considered issues regarding convention budgets and hotel contract negotiations.
We also received a bid from the Missouri Area for hosting the 2007 World Service Convention.
At this time we would like a representative from the 2004 (Pacific South), 2005 (Tennessee), and 2006 (Calgary) conventions to give a brief update on their progress.

REFERRALS THAT WERE WORKED UPON DURING THE YEAR:
Referrals worked on include items involving the Unity Brunch, Chairperson guidelines, Chairperson duties, and timeline for selecting steering-committee members. We also worked on a referral regarding a quorum for approving expenses. In addition, the committee may be submitting guidelines for hotel contract negotiations. Finally, we received motions regarding the qualifications of signers, advanced seating at banquets, having hotel liaisons included on the master account, who should be included in on the comp-room list, and Public Information table placement and literature distribution.
