OPENING REPORT
C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2007
FINANCE COMMITTEE REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
The Finance Committee met during the World Service Convention in Kansas City, Missouri. We’d like to extend our thanks to everyone participating in the 2007 CAWS Convention for their fine contribution to CA’s financial well being as well as for strengthening the weave of Unity that is the essential fabric of CA’s success.
We had email and phone conversations during the year. We’ve looked into to ways to increase participation in the CAWS Individual Contribution Program. This program is gaining momentum and holds true promise for allowing fear of economic insecurity to leave us. We discuss ways to educate and inform the

fellowship on fiscal responsibility and the need for increased 7th Tradition Donations so that CA may realize a greater potential worldwide.
As per the 11th Concept, ‘The main responsibility of this body is to see that we do not become money-crippled or go broke. This is the place where money and spirituality DO have to mix…”

CLOSING COMMENTS: “CA – We’re Here and We’re Free” We don’t want this to become “CA – We’re Here and It Costs Two Bucks”. It takes finances and sound financial management to provide the “no cost” services and outreach that CA makes available to those seeking a way out of addiction. The Individual Contribution Program is one means to improve our financial outlook. By supplementing our 7lh Tradition receipts, it allows YOU and ME to have a direct positive impact on CA’s ability to reach the still suffering addict. Don’t miss your opportunity to have some fun while making a difference. Come join the Finance Committee and share your wonderful ideas on how to improve YOUR Fellowship’s finances.
