C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2011
CONVENTION COMMITTEE REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
The World Service Conference Convention Committee (WSCCC) would like to start by asking the conference to help them in thanking the Arizona Area for hosting one of the most successful World Service Conventions in the past decade! WE greatly appreciate their efforts on behalf of C.A. to further our

mission to promote enthusiasm and unity within the fellowship of Cocaine Anonymous and financially support World Services‟ effort to carry the message to the addict that still suffers.
Next up will be “Keys of the United Kingdom!” We are looking forward to our first World Service Convention in the European Region.
In 2013, the Florida Area will host “A Splash of Recovery.” They are known for sunshine, beaches and some of the most colorful tee-shirts in all of C.A.!!
The city of Long Beach was selected by the Pacific South Region to be the host city for the World Service Convention in 2014.
From Europe to the Atlantic beaches to the Pacific Ocean – the World Service Conference Convention Committee is excited to help carry the message of CA to the world.
During this past year the Convention Committee was asked to vote on replacements for the 2012 CAUK Vice-Chair and Treasurer. These Steering Committee positions were filled December 2010 during a conference call which included the WSCCC elected officers, the European Regional Trustee and the 2012 WSC Convention Chair.
The Convention Committee was also responsible for selecting the 2013 World Service Convention Steering Committee and the 2014 World Service Convention Committee Chair.

There were no referrals that remained after last year‟s W.S. Conference.
CLOSING COMMENTS:
Unfortunately we have not received any bids for the 2015 world convention. We urge you, our delegates, to ask your areas and regions to get started on prepping bids for the 2015 and 2016 World Service Conventions. The addict who still suffers depends on C.A. Unity.

Scott K.: What kind of weather do you anticipate for the 2013 convention.
Kenny W.: Normally it is no in the hurricane season; the weather should be perfect.
Ronald W.: I heard about prices for the rooms; were those per person?

Ian Y.: Yes.
Julie H.: For the CAUK 2012, can we get a copy of the pricing for rooms? I want to make it available to my Area.
Ian Y.: Yes, it is available online.
Bob C.: Can you explain to the delegates about putting on a World convention? Michael H.: This committee is designed to help anyone wanting to put together a bid.
Roy R.: If you were going to make the 2012 a “holiday” would the current pricing include children?
Ian Y.: I will get back to you on that.
Roy R.: What is it like to get through customs?
Ian Y.: Get a passport. Check with your local embassy; fairly relaxed.
Dathan M.: So if no one puts in a bid for the 2015 Conference what will happen?
Michael H.: The WSO will host it.
Jennifer S.: The pricing for single occupancy is $xxx.xx and double occupancy is more per person…why?
Ian Y.: There is a different caliber room.
Russell S.: I will print out a sheet for single and double occupancy rooms, and make them available to anyone.
Robin L.: For anyone with that 6’5″ spouse, is there accommodations?
Russell S.: We have spoken with the hotels and they are willing to accommodate as best they can.
Earnest M.: If a person is to use their debit cards, will the card be debited immediately?
Russell S.: If you booked your room now, a 75.00 deposit would be deducted immediately.
