C.A. WORLD SERVICE CONFERENCE 2010
UNITY COMMITTEE REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS
Opening Comments
This year’s conference has been a new and exciting experience for me; acting as WSC Unity Committee chairperson has been an interesting and has taught me some things about myself. Our new member’s enthusiasm has been contagious; I am reminded why I got involved in service. Our focus has been housecleaning, redefining and assigning sub-committee positions. We went from zero submissions CATW artwork at the start of the conference to eight designs to choose from. We are submitting seven articles for the NewsGram’ Unity Corner. We would like to emphasize the importance of the Unity registry request that went out in delegate mailing (per SR-14) a very simple yet effective means of connecting members throughout the fellowship in the spirit of promoting CA Unity. Post Conference work will include planning Unity event for WSC Convention 2011 in Arizona, and the Unity survey titled “Retaining the Newcomer” found in the WSC Unity Committee Guidelines, page 6, an existing Conference approved document.

Ira Gates– Celebrate around the World Chair John Spencer- Unity Luncheon Chair
Rose Jones & Ira Gates presented CATW 2011 artwork.
Paul Mears – speed service workshop format – you get some really useful information in a very short period of time. My favorite is the Traditions. We did this at the CATW event on the Concepts and we had 100 men and women fired up about the Concepts. Helps create Unity!
Next year’s theme – Big Book – $8. HFC – $10. Unity – PRICELESS!

understanding of Unity through our Unity registry and the Unity survey. Kicking it up a notch? I would give our committee an “A” for effort. I’m grateful to have had a chance to play a small part in a larger effort. Thanks for letting me be of service.
