Our trustee Richard Schafer, with his extensive computer literacy and IT knowledge, proved extremely beneficial to our continued efforts to make the IT Committee a better resource for our Fellowship.
REFERRALS THAT WERE WORKED UPON DURING THE YEAR:
We worked on our IT Committee Workbook and Guidelines and continued through the year to answer questions and requests from our Fellowship in the areas of linking new websites, reviewing existing sites, and assisting your World Service Office with technological support. Our 2009 Conference approved IT Committee Workbook and Guidelines is posted on www.ca.org . We incurred no expenses and therefore came in under budget.
CLOSING COMMENTS:
As our Fellowship continues to grow, technologies continue to evolve and become a bigger part of our daily communications, especially in the recent area of social networking. Therefore this committee continues to serve our Fellowship by providing information and recommendations to help us evolve and utilize every available and new emerging technology in its best light.
As a new or continuing delegate, you will enjoy the fun time shared on the IT Committee. We welcome the technically challenged to the expert who are interested in technology, or members who merely wish to express their opinion and want change. We welcome EVERYONE! Please consider serving on the IT Committee, where you will always feel like you made a difference.
In Love and Service, Marc Harvey – WSITC Chair
