LCF REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
During the last year the LCF has been in sessions throughout the year via online email group meetings and a series of telephone conference calls. The Storybook Subcommittee has functioned in a similar way. Each region of CA has been represented and members

include delegates from the United Kingdom, Canada and America. We have yet to get any of our new European friends involved

REFERRALS THAT WERE WORKED UPON DURING THE YEAR:
Having said the LCF has been in session throughout the year it is closer to the truth to say that the Storybook Subcommittee has been in session. Unfortunately, virtually none of the general LCF members outside of the Storybook Committee took part in any of the debates that went on during the year.
Last night Bobby Harmon when giving a report on the NADC Conference mentioned three pamphlets that were badly needed and that are in LCF committee stage, these included one on crank/methamphetamine, another on young people in recovery, and a final one on How to Start a CA Meeting. The simple reason these are still on the go in committee is that the LCF is swamped by projects and we don’t have enough active members of the Conference helping us.
When I took over the LCF last year I had a note from the outgoing Chair who said he didn’t have a clue what projects were on the go, who was doing them and where they were up to. One of our main tasks at this Conference will be to keep tab on all of LCF’s projects. We will also begin to check how published projects differ in spelling, grammar and content from the pieces that were passed by the Conference. These differences need to be remedied in the coming year.

CLOSING COMMENTS:
All of these projects are at various different stages in the 12 point process that takes place from inception to publication. A couple may have been finished but are just awaiting printing.
Rather than give you a complete rundown of all the telephone conference calls and email debates that took place during the year let us just say there were quite a lot. One of the Storybook Subcommittee telephone conference calls lasted for over six hours!
Without you there will be no new CA literature, chips and formats. We need your help so please sign on the dotted line!
Questions
John Bodkin- WSOB and LCF have combined to create an advisory board. Marketing options are being investigated, from both a marketing and financial aspect. We are not sure if both or one will be available.

Cynthia Cronkite- Concepts that were approved have not been worked on since we do not have enough members to work on them at this time. Note also, that anyone is welcome to help and or submit pieces for those projects.
