ARCHIVES REPORT
INTRODUCTION AND OPENING COMMENTS:
The chair (or designee) should provide an overview of the committee’s work during the year since the last conference.
The Archive Committee has had a busy year:
- We have identified over 100 speaker, Convention, and HFC cassette tapes that need to be transferred into MP3’s. There is also a large reel-to-reel tape of Johnny S.
- We have obtained clearance from the WSOB to offer reprint articles from the Connection & News Gram newsletters for use in Area and District Newsletters. We have 4 WSOB-approved reprints which are included with this report.
- We are working with Jerry M., the Archive Chair for the 2014 Convention, to create our first traveling display for that Convention.
- Our Outreach Chair, Cameron F, has been working over the year to gather information for the Audio Archive interviews. He has conducted several interviews over the last few months.
- We have also been in touch with the outgoing Archive Chair from the UK. He will be passing information to the incoming chair. With the European Region being so new, we have the best chance of impressing upon them the importance of protecting and preserving their history.
- We have submitted under SR-14, for approval at this Conference, our revised Committee Guidelines and Procedures, which should be easier for the Fellowship to understand and follow.
- Our goal of creating the C.A. Historical Timeline banner for this Convention has been extended indefinitely due to a lack of response from then Fellowship. It would really be helpful if the Trustees would provide us with a roster of when each of the Areas in their Region became Conference-approved. Regrettably, Delegate Mailings, which would contain this information, are not accessible prior to several years ago.

- Frank P and I have transferred a good 65% (40 boxes) of the existing archives into acid-free protection. We wish to profess our profound gratitude to C.A. Director of Operations, Linda F for allowing us to take up precious hours of her personal time to facilitate this project.
- We are thrilled to report that the WSO has created a climate-controlled space in the WSO warehouse that currently houses the C.A. Archive.
- The 60-day & 90 Day commemorative chips are available now. We have a Conference Special running – get 1 each of the 30-60&90 Day Chips for $20. See a member of the Archive Committee to get yours!

REFERRALS THAT WERE WORKED ON DURING THE YEAR:
